THX: The Deep Note

Recommended Posts

The Deep Note, the distinctive synthesized crescendo that is THX’s audio trademark, is one of the most iconic sounds in all of film. For the effects firm’s 35th anniversary, they’ve now shared the sheet music behind the sound.”

I was in class once with Tomlinson Holman and his cell phone had the "deep note" as his ring tone...like you would if you had invented THX and all the roman numerals before the X. I gushed like a fan-boy, "cool, where can i buy that ?"

The look he gave me was somewhere in the "imperious and incredulous" range...what a noob I always is.

Oh well, was it Popeye, or Ricky Ricardo who said "Yo soy lo que soy...no nada, no chingada"?
