Just so that all know, UPS arbitrarily assesed an extra "hadling fee" on a Pelican 1600 shipper that I sent out because it wasn't in a cardboard box.  FedEx will accept these cases as-is understanding that an ATA approved shipping case doesn't need any carboard around it.  Stupid UPS!

UPS just issued a "courtesy refund" on the additional charge.  I sent a request for clarification on the "additional hangling" rule for Pelican style shippers.  I will pass that along if I receive an answer to my inquiry.
