Constantin
the COS-22 can be used as a noise cancellation directional microphone pair by reversing the phase of one channel before summing the two outputs." This stuck out to me, too. Is one of the mics mounted differently than the other? If they are just next to each other, reversing the phase of one of them and then summing both will not have pleasant results

studiomprd
when Sanken first introduced this they touted it as a "stereo" mic... I think the best use is when some idiot er producer insists on dual lav's
Constantin
Although I'd interested in user reports of the COS-22's ability to reduce ambient noise. Although... it effectively changes the polar pattern to cardioid. So in use this may not be particularly useful. All the more interesting to hear about real world experience
