Jan McL
Thanks, Jim, My search did not return that thread. Think I'll give it a bump since it's been a little while since then... It's been a year since that thread was active and the Forum asks me if I don't want to start a new one...so I'm gonna keep this one going. To recap the older thread: In the summer of 2009, the 600 mAh rechargeable CR123 batteries hadn't the capacity to compete with non-rechargeable Energizer lithium 1500 mAh spec. Anybody know different? -- Jan
Jeff Wexler
This is still the case as far as I know. There are no CR123 rechargeables that will work for us in the wireless that needs them (Zaxcom TRX900's). I investigated again just before this movie I am on and did not come up with anything. - Jeff Wexler
MT Groove
I tried the 900mAh rechargeable CR123 made by Tenergy. They only last about and hour and a half on my TRX900.
Boomboom
Anybody has an idea about how come companies don't make lithium rechargeable small batteries nowadays ? Is it only that there's no market for it ? I'm asking cause I chose the TRX900AA instead of TRX900 just because I knew I'd be in trouble having to find a CR123 batt. right in the middle of India or China or ... (well you get the picture) if I suddenly came short for whatever reason. And not having the option to carry rechargeable CR123s with me, I chose the most ''trouble free'' solution at the expense of compactness. At least, I can buy some AAs everywhere in the world. glenn
Here is an idea I had. With the IFB100 remtote you can put the TRX900 to sleep. If we tie the sleep mode into the record command on the Deva through Zax-net the transmitters should go about double the life they do now. Good rechargable A123 will do 5 hours. A TRX900AA and TRX900LT should do 12 hours. Added benefit is privacy for actors when not rolling. The wireless responce to the command is about 1/2 of one second so there should be no issues with responce time. Besides, that Sound Speed I hear can change to Zaxcom Speed. ;-) Glenn Sanders President Zaxcom Inc

Once the Tx have been put to sleep with the IFB100 (or QRX100), how quick/easy is it to wake them back up with the same units? I do not have a Zaxnet system, but the QRX and TRX900LT are high on my list of things to buy. Robert
ramallo
Hi, I recover this thread from his grave. Two question, any news about the CR123?, will work the TRX900 with 3,7V? (Like the link of below) http://www.amazon.com/JustDo®-Rechargeable-Flashlight-Pointer-Battery/dp/B00OEL3WWO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416278590&sr=8-1&keywords=JustDo®+10+Pieces&pebp=1416278592769
Tom Visser
I have a Tenergy high capacity set if your interested, tried to use them with my light, but diameter was slightly too large.

I'm evaluating buy a old TRX900, but I'm concerned about the CR123, too rare, too expensive. Rechargeable would be a solution for me, but the rechargeable seems have a higher voltage (3,7V instead 3V). if I get the TRX I'll contact with you (fit on a TRX?) osa
I just tried 2300mah versions and was only able to get 1.5hrs run time similar to 900mah listed earlier in this thread. Wondering if anyone has had any success with rech batteries as of late – apparently these are used in RC cars. Are rechargeables still not a valid option for trx900's? -Ken
