Jim Gilchrist
Same here, on a pair of Macs with both Safari and Firefox. Page does not exist, Warning, this site may damage your computer, etc. Just checked w. Chrome running on a Mac, it's happening with it as well. maplecap
I got warnings that this site was a reported malware site in both Firefox and Camino today. Also errors regarding the type of compression used on pages.
BVS
Taking a while to open in Safari here in NZ at the moment... BVS
Marc Hoppe
Firefox is giving me the warning, but Chrome opened it no problem. When I was on earlier today on firefox, none of the pictures were opened in the posts, and when I tried to download them and open them in Preview, I got an error message that they (jpeg) were an unsupported format. Jeff Wexler
Our site was attacked and massively corrupted. I have completed doing a restore from backup and we should be in good shape now. Sorry for the inconvenience. Regards, Jeff Wexler
Eric Toline
FWIW, no problem with IE8. Don't know if that's a good or bad thing. Eric
Jeff Wexler
Firefox is giving me the warning, but Chrome opened it no problem. Marc Very curious that Chrome did not report --- the origin of the report is from Google crawl and isn't Chrome a Google browser? - Jeff Wexler
studiomprd
still having some problems: here is what I see (lots of it!) " _õœ$ËI3fIê¿p‹OÃ’W£*Ã7[ÚÛ`a‰çkK¶é½2ñ‘‘oâÜ»pÄèUâØë` " I have been unable to access the thread "We were attacked" at all.
Jim Gilchrist
Very curious that Chrome did not report --- the origin of the report is from Google crawl and isn't Chrome a Google browser? - Jeff Wexler At first Chrome worked fine, but this morning I tried it and a couple of pages into my visit, the warnings came up. I'm curious if this will happen until all the cached pages at various ISP's reload. Best regards, Jim
Jeff Wexler
The site is back, but possibly not for everyone until the various cached alerts are cleared, etc. We should be okay for now. I know I said that before after the first attack, but let's hope.
imagist
Great thanks for the effort involved getting it running again. A small detail, I acquired a small 'no entry' icon in Firefox bookmarks which has not gone away. Is jwsound able to have it's own icon, as many sites do, and what could it be? thanks Mick
Jeff Wexler
The site does not have what is called a "favicon". I will look into putting one up. - Jeff Wexler

cmgoodin
Our site was attacked and massively corrupted. I have completed doing a restore from backup and we should be in good shape now. Sorry for the inconvenience. Regards, Jeff Wexler Jeff, Make sure you change your passwords you use to access the site. These javascript trojans scrape your password from other drive by worms then use that data to re-infect your website. It is automated bots and if you don't change your passwords you are liable to be re-infected. It happened to my website a while back and even after full restore from backups it was re-infected in a couple of days until I changed the passwords. Also you and your webmaster or anyone who has access to your website data pages needs to thoroughly scan their machine for these javascript worms or trojans before you change the passwords. That is how the password lists get stolen in the first place. And yes they can infect both Mac and PC machines. ----Courtney
Jeff Wexler
Passwords have been changed. The forum site is on my Lunarpages account and I don't know what Lunarpages does to prevent these things, if anything. I don't really have a webmaster... well, he is a master and a good friend, Laurence, who tirelessly helped me through this most recent adventure. - Jeff Wexler
old school
Thanks Jeff n Laurence. "You don't know what you've got till it's gone" as the great Joni Mitchell song states. True here. CrewC
