Zack
Still crippled because it wont do surround... but hey - it's a GIANT leap... It is able to give you surround busses...for an extra price. At least there's an option unlike before.
Marc Wielage
Yeah, more tracks and surround with the Complete Production Toolkit 2: http://www.avid.com/US/products/Complete-Production-Toolkit-2/features --Marc W.
hemmerlinj
Too bad the CPTK upgrade costs $2000. I read on the AVID web page that it's cheaper for you to buy a new protools LE setup now and then do the crossgrade than it will be after the New Year. Apparently the prices will go up for the interfaces, and I not too sure that they will continue to be bundled with a copy of PT. Get em while they're hot! Well I'm only needing the built in tools that PT9 has now.. which from my understanding is what the DV Tool Kit 2 used to provide. The X-grade to 9 will be 250 for me... and I'm placing my order here in a few days once I get paid.
