Opening this will allow you to do a multitude of things, such as deleting posts, or the entire thread, as well as changing the title. There's a bit more to it than that. Click "Edit" on your original, thread-starting post and then click "Use Full Editor". You are then presented with the full editing options: title, tags, etc. If you started the thread, on the last post, on the left hand side there should be a moderator options box. Opening this will allow you to do a multitude of things, such as deleting posts, or the entire thread, as well as changing the title. The moderation link only allows you to delete the entire thread.
