48 track audio recorder for iPad

Kind of cool, I wish they hadn't wasted so much screen space on eyecandy--they would have been able to get all the record tracks onto one page otherwise (they should take note of how Boom Recorder works in that regard). I couldn't find which interfaces were supported (or tested), and if there is a way to aggregate interfaces that are less than 24 channels to get up to 24. I guess you have to go to a dif. page for your monitor mix? Also...it only mentioned 44.1k recording? And....where are the drives?

My guess is that it only records internally to the iPad's SSD. I'm also curious to see how they deal with USB drivers for different external hardware mixers.

form the Auria website: "iPad 2 recommended; iOS 5 required. Auria will record from the iPad mic, but a compatible USB Class 2 audio interface and Camera Connection Kit is recommended.". Many of the USB interfaces that I am familiar with, at least for the Mac OS, if they are Core Audio compatible they don't require any drivers from the company that builds the hardware --- they are just plug 'n' play. What I imagine is that iOS5 includes the necessary drivers for most Core Audio interfaces. This is certainly something which would have to be demonstrated in the real world.
