Hello, I'm looking for a used Portabrace AO FLEX2EX or AO FLEX4, preferably in blue. I can't find any of these as "used" online. If anyone knows of a good used site where I could find one of these please let me know. Thanks.

I know this is not a product that we would typically use but I found it to be very interesting, amazing package, features and functions. From Blackmagic Design. Records to SSDs.

Is it possible to remote roll a 744t from a Zaxcom Cameo ? Also, is there any way to get the cameo to display the TC from the 744T ?

Introduction The application of MEMS (microelectro-mechanical systems) technology to microphones has led to the development of small microphones with very high performance. MEMS microphones offer high SNR, low power consumption, good sensitivity, and are available in very small packages that are fully compatible with surface mount assembly processes. MEMS microphones exhibit almost no change in performance after reflow soldering and have excellent temperature characteristics. I don't use a venue...I'm trying to import scan data from my RF Explorer (windows 10). I'm using Wireless Designer with the latest firmware. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but I can't seem to see my imported scan results from RF Explorer. I suspect my export settings aren't correct in RF Explorer (perhaps WD needs a specific csv field separator?). As you can see in the WD screenshot, the start/end frequency is showing as "0". Or is it another setting? Thanks!

Since so many new wireless products are going digital I thought it would be a good topic to discuss Lav mics that are designed to overcome Digital transmitter RFI. I know the Sanken COS-11d is one that comes to mind but what are some others? What are some that should not be used, like the Sony ECM-88?

Is anyone familiar with Working Easy bags and cases? Made in Italy and seem very similar to Porta Brace with some unique products but curious about quality. And then there's this PSC EuroCart rain cover which for me could be everything: http://www.workingeasy.it/en/mixer-audio.html?page=shop.product_details&flypage=tpflypage.tpl&product_id=309&category_id=8

Has anyone looked at anything like the Yoyo V2 PC in a tiny box thing - as a possible windows solution for Nomad/Touch scenario. Might need a touch screen of course, by which time you may as well get a tablet, but..... I was just thinking of options...... http://www.gearbest.com/tv-box-mini-pc/pp_203673.html Kindest, sb

Hello guys, I'm new here, nice to meet you, I'm Valerio. A question for those who own a MKH50 and a MKH40. I've compared these two mikes , side by side, same gain on recorder, 15cm to my mouth, on axis. On paper they have the same sens (25mV/Pa) , but the 50 has less , -3-4db respect to 40 (not negligible imho). The noise floor is identical. Did you ever notice the same difference? Something could be wrong on this 50 , or it is just the wider polar pattern of the 40 that catches more sound pressure? Thanks!

A few weeks ago I was in the market for a bag for my MixPre 3 recorder, and I ultimately decided upon the K-Tek Mix Pro bag as it was a perfect fit and it still had room to accommodate a USB-C battery brick as well. Next I needed some sort of hard case to store my gear when not in use, and I just wanted to share a few pics of my new Condition 1 hard case. I don't work for them, and have no financial interest whatsoever with them, but I am pretty impressed by the quality of this US made case. It's even more impressive when you realize it's only $80. This is the 20 inch "large" case, and I was able to configure it for: Rycote Mic Handle MixPre 3…

I'm first including snippets from the original discussion about walkie surveillance kits with MP3 or IFB option for a refresher... "We have received a lot of requests over the years for a radio surveillance kit that also allows for the use of an MP3 player at the same time. We now have one. An interrupt circuit is engaged when the radio is keyed or when it senses an incoming signal. The music is re-engaged by simply pushing the separate PTT like switch on the cable. $79.95 LSCSURV2-AUD Thanks Steve Joachim Sales Manager / Employee Owner LSC 818-980-9891 x302" Snip-----> Cut To-----> "My playback op Devendra Cleary had …

Last week I used my SD 633 as a digital front end for an impromptu ADR session. A cameraman friend of mine called me and asked if I could record some wild lines for an actress from Germany and I said sure, ok, she can come over to my house and we'll record those wild lines in a few minutes, but then I get an email from the German post house listing all the tech requirements for an ADR looping session and a link to the video clip with the scene to ADR and uh oh "I think I may be in over my head." I'm not running a big audio post house- I don't even have ProTools. I may have to find her to a real post house. Then I looked again and saw what they wanted delivered was an OMF …

Not totally a new topic (pictures posted here sometime back) but I am wondering when any of the US companies are going to get this windscreen in stock. I did see the Cinela mount first in France (at DCAudio Visuel) but it hasn't had much penetration here in the US. The Zephyx windscreen is something I think I would really like. Posted below is a description of its benefits (and it fits right into most all of the design considerations that Don Coufal has used in the windscreens he has built in the past): from DVAudio Visuel website "The new ZEPHYX windscreen has several new benefits: - Wind protection is increased thanks to the ovoid shape and to better capsule p…

This was odd behavior that happened today. i wanted to provide a client with an entire recording of an event for backup purposes. TC is jamming regularly like normal. i was able to pull the file into protools and use another file from the recorder to restamp tc. the last file in the list below is me putting the card back in and suddenly the tc stamped properly? zaxcom maxx and CL block 22

Has anyone jumped in with the newest Lectro offerings? Is the digital architecture noticeably better? I see you can potentially have software upgrades done without sending units in. What are the other plusses in your opinion? Negatives?

Hi everyone, I have just installed and started operating a Sony refurb kit, and have added the DWT-P01 'cube' transmitter. My tests for distance and non-line of sight at 10mW are impressive. Clearly the best wireless set that I now own. I am wondering if anyone has found a better level of impact protection for the DWT-P01 than the stock slip-on cover provides? The standard cover is quite thin and looks like it will be quite unlikely to save this transmitter in the event a correspondent (or myself) drops it to the ground from waist-height. I would regard it as providing dust protection only - a commonsense assessment. I'm curious about something else - does any…
