Ok, so It's not cheap, but these lithium polymer batteries used to power these electric motorcycles look like they would be ideal for Cart use. http://www.zeromotorcycles.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=10 The bikes look cool too.

For anyone who has ordered Rackman version rack mounted shelfs and drawers, from Rackman in the Valley. They have a new and improved latching system. One the right is the old plastic latch, and on the left is the newer improved 'deeper' latch. For anyone who has busted a few fingernails on this, should replace the older latch, with the new ones.. It makes a much improved difference. The new latches can be swapped out with no modifications needed to the drawers. They run about 6 bucks, and your fingers will thank you! -Richard

I don't know if I will do wireless hops back to camera just yet, but I think I should buy accordingly. I think LA is 21, 22, 28? Not sure. Can someone enlighten me please. So Receiver bag only - which block based on experience? Transmitter/Receiver - Block 28 for receivers and lower blocks for transmitters? What lectro series are you using for camera sends?

Hi All (and belated NYs) Wondering if anyone on the forum has come up with a good Bluetooth type solution to recording the 'other' end of a cell phone conversation. I've done some research and it looks like it should be possible. What I need is to be able to record from a bluetooth streaming device (I can hot mod the audio output) - BUT still have that side of the conversation audible from the handpiece speaker. I figure it has something to do with what mode the bluetooth device is running in... but haven't gotten any further than that. All comment welcome Yours Chris B (working at keeping the dream alive)

Curious to know if anyone is familiar with this mic as I have received it recently with a relic of a Zeppelin that had a wooden handle. I am going to work on cleaning it up and comparing it to mics on hand but was just curious if this had a use in production Sound over the years

Im currently on a show in which one of our 788T's is not creating a new daily folder. We have the file structure set to MID LEVEL, but it wont create a new folder. It is #2 in a chain of 4 units linked via c link. 24/48K 29.97 NDF. All the machines are set to the same settings. Firmware 2.15 Any ideas? Rob

Hello everyone! One of the great uses for MixPre 6 that I see is a very portable Ambisonics recorder for ambiences and other SFX. The golden rule of SFX recording is to sort them and supply with SoundMiner metadata as early as you can because otherwise you'll hardly ever find the recordings (hello my over 50 GBs from university times). So, is it technically possible to make a version of Wingman app that would have metadata fields (I'll name them the way as SM does) such as Description, BWFDescription, Comments and maybe some other SM fields? It can be much more handy to fill these in while you're recording or right after it. For a long time I thou…

Hi All, I have searched this website and have read both manuals and it is still unclear. While I wait for a response from Betso tech support, can anyone confirm if the Betso Bowties have DC voltage blocking circuitry built in? I want to know if I can use the Bowties with a Shure UA845 which supplies 12VDC on the BNC antenna inputs. I also have the older SNA600 which I know can be damaged when connected to a BNC jack that has a DC voltage across it's pins. Wondering if the same risk exists with the Betso Bowtie?

Hi all, I saw Comtek came out with this new antenna which, along with a mod for the older m216-option7 TXs, claims to reduce handling noise, improve RF performance and also keeps other RF stuff from getting into the input. I use these TX’s for small bag setups mostly with Zaxcom wireless (or Nova) and the Zaxnet whine gets int there sometimes. Are there any users out there that have tried this new antenna with a new TX or a TX that has been modified? I’ve tried and come up with a solution to mitigate Zax whine, and it’s ok I’m just wondering if this mod/antenna does a significantly better job. Would love to hear any experiences people have had. Many tha…

A quick question. I'm looking for a cost effective RF Spectrum analyser - preferably with USB interface - so that I can quickly scan for the best spaces for a multiple radio mic (Lectro) setup. As I only use it once or twice a year I can't really see any sense in spending a huge amount - also, it's something I can't bill extra for. I know I can scan using the 411 units - but as I need to co-ordinate up to 4 recordists at each location - something more visual - and separate from the kits is of interest. Had a quick Google but the results were confusing. Thought someone out there might have found the right and brilliant thing. Thanks Chris B

This has a 2 channel output for its 5.1 mix that needs to be decoded down. Anyone know absolutely if sending the same audio wirelessly from the top of a camera back to the mixer would still be able to be decoded? Is there another signal in the line that needs to be carried with the audio? I'm assuming it'll work but just thought I'd post.

Hi there, I`ve got a Cooper CS208D V1 hooked up to a SD744T. As the mixer doesn`t have output limiters and the 744 only got limiters in the mic ins I need to use a pad if I wanna use limiters of the 744. Specs of the 208 says that output imp is 100Ohm. What minimum load does it need to look at? 600Ohm or even more? There is a transformer version on the market with 600Ohm. But maybe I should use a resistor version instead that works as an imp converter as well? Regards, Matt.

The Sound and Picture website has posted an article about the Dugan auto mixer being implemented in the Sound Devices 688 mixer/recorder. Dan Dugan and Jon Tatooles were interviewed, and shed a lot of light on using the technology. http://bit.ly/2cdkH6W

I had been using an SRB 2 SMVs as a camera hop, never had an issue with phantom power frying unit...moved away when I saw DCHT/M2R combo but got burned with Phantom power and no true line level!! I am doing mostly scratch track and recording internally, what units don't get fried buy+48 hitting them? Do i go Zaxcom, Lectro L series wideband, Sony UWP, Sennheiser? Thoughts
