LI’ve got 4 block 22 lectro 300’s from what I’ve been told they are the european version of the lectro 205d. Now the guy who sold them to me said they were used at the bbc I’m assuming in studio as they came in a rack mount. When I bought them only the first 4 channels on both the receiver and transmitter would work, I could switch between the 4 channels but nothing else, possibly they were set the fixed frequencies since they were in a studio? Anyway I used and abused them all summer outside in Vegas heat on tv show filming in the desert and the performed flawlessly, I never needed to change channels as I would just change receivers if I hit a problem as I rarely had…

first problem in 10 years of using my CS208V1: headphone out 2 and 3 are used for IFB BoomOp and Director/Video etc. Now when I´m pressing PL the audio cuts out on those 2 outs (which wasn´t the case so far). Thats when using the ext slate mic. The PL signal sounds like a bad gated mic (on/off/on/off) Switching the headphone out from stereo to mono on HP2 cured the problem for a couple of hours. Now it doesn´t make a difference. In headphone 1 (my one) everything still sounds as always including PL with ext slate mic. So I guess the ext mic, the ext mic-preamp is still working fine. Does this ring a bell for anyone? Any Cooper user experien…

Hi All, have a few questions for you. I have three Lectros, 2 UCR201 RX and 1 UCR211 they are powered by a Lithium NP-L7s thru a BDS ( Remote Audio). One of the 201s always shows a small amount of RF. No matter what open freq I scan to. I have tried different power cables from BDS to RX and removed every other piece of gear from the BDS. When I run the receiver from a internal 9 volt the RF shows nothing. Thanks for any input, I just would like to figure out why? Also.... I picked up a dual rack of Lectrosonics R-400 RM2. They come with a wall wart and the unit specifies 8-18 volts vdc 200ma max. My 201s say 10 -18 vdc, 0.100A. Is there any reason I could not power t…

For helicopter comms recording, I usually take an output straight from the comms jack (NATO usually) and into my 744t via a 20dB attenuator, which obviously works fine. I'm thinking of using a spare TRXla or ZFR recorder in it's place (sometimes it's tricky to safely mount the 744, especially with the seats out/doors off). Theoretically I should be able to just plug the NATO to XLRm cable straight into a line input lead (I have some for my Wisycoms) and all should be well, right? Anything I'm missing here? I know there's no interference issue as talent always have some form of Zax recorder on in helicopters, but I'm obviously not going to be able to test this out…

Has anyone tried going direct into the iPhone? I recall a 1/8" plug with 4 connectors (I would assume Ground, L, R, mic). Would be great for those playback into the phone situations...

Hello All, Question, how successful have users been sending a mic level feed out of their 442 into the xlr mic in's on the Dr-100. I have not played with every variation of gain structure yet just wanted any hints if anyone had them..... So far I seem to overmodulate the unit with good meter'd levels. Probably need to experiment more with the low med high gain button. Thanks for any tips.....Not sure if I want to keep this unit......

Got this from a friend of mine who works at a large post house thought I would share: Some information regarding DVD archival I thought I would pass on, and hopefully pass onto others: As for as dual layer DVD+R DL media is concerned, the best, most reliable, and only true archival-quality media is Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL; that said, only seek the discs with "Made in Singapore" on the packaging, and when inserted into a drive and checked with an app such as Nero DiscSpeed, are denoted with a manufacturer ID: MKM 001 Many other brands (and even outsourced Verbatim), are made in Taiwan and India; the success rate of these are roughly 50% on a burn, if the complete …

since the Fusion got only a combined TC I/O on Lemo 5pinF I was wondering if there is a existing solution for this: Ambient ClockIt TC out --- Fusion TC in Fusion TC out --- IFB100 TC in Fusion TC out --- CamLockIt / EW100 TC in wondering if the TC signal will be effected when doing y-splitting and one leg is temp. open? Cheers, Matthias

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but...For a very specific application we need to record audio from inside a full face dive mask to a ZFR400 recorder. We have the waterproofing of the recorder figured out (3D printing a custom case) but now comes the microphone...One option is the VT500WATER,https://www.vt-switzerland.com/en/vt-500waterBut the IPX7 rating is a little borderline... The dive mask can/will be flooded at between 1 and 3 meters for 1-2 minutes max... so it "should" be ok.The second option is the mic typically used for under water communication in full face masks. It is a dynamic mic called ME-16Rhttp://www.uswaterrescue.com/mobile/...ode=912086-000This mic …

i know I read about this before, but can't find it now. yes, I did a search and even waded through countless pages of nomad threads. no, I didn't HAT since I'm rolling all day and would like to spend my short lunch eating. LOL is there a way (other than routing an output back into the returns with a cable) to record a L/R mix internally yet? am I missing something or is that a planned feature? I would like to be able to change the pan on the fly and have that reflected in the recording. I'm running 2.81.

I have a bunch of Sony UWP transmitters and receivers that are all the previous generation. In total, I have 5 lav transmitters, 2 plug-on transmitters, 2 handheld mics, 6 single receivers, and 1 dual receiver. I use my wireless transmitters and receivers on my Sony FX6/3 cameras as well as on my Sound Devices MixPre-6 II for various video projects. In addition, I sometimes will also use them for livestreamed events where we are also projecting audio to house sound through various sound boards. My question is about the new generation. I see that the body packs are slightly different (smaller), but I’m curious if there’s anything in the newer system that would …

Hello! I’m new to Nagra iv-s and I‘m collecting information on how to get the most out of this lovely machine. Currently, I put it into mastering (and also making some copies for fun). As you can see, for these purposes, the timecode is redundant. I have read the instruction manual and got to know that there's risk that the timecode could invading the audio tracks. Furthermore, there're comments that the S/N rate could be a little higher without the timecode. SO, I'm wondering if there's a LEGAL WAY to turn off the timecode generator of this machine. I know from a comment in another topic on this forum that: According to the sea…

I wanted to ask what real world differences there are on battery life for Lectrosonics transmitters used for lav mics. Sure we can all do our own tests and just run them until dead or just simply change them at lunch as a best practice but in a scenario like a docu where you are not going to get near your subject again at all for the whole day. In a apples-to-apples comparison at same 25mW & 50mW RF power using Energizer Ultimate Lithium one-time use batteries (for consistency & availability rather than different brands of rechargeable li-ion) hybrid-digital SMWB - Wideband Transmitter (1 AA) [RF Power selections at 25, 50 and 100 mW] vs digital DBS…

I did a search and dug up some pretty old threads about painting lav mics, but I wanted to see if there are any new or improved methods today. I have several Sanken COS-11Ds in black, white and beige and am wanting to have two in brown. Sanken doesn’t offer this color whereas DPA and Countryman do. I wish they did as I would buy two instantly! Ad such, I’m thinking of painting two of my beige mics to be brown. I’m wanting this to be permanent if possible and was wanting to paint the wire, the mic capsule, the windscreen, and the alligator clip. Do any of you have suggestions on a permanent paint for this? I’m assuming it would have to be somewhat o…

A little background first... I have been using UCR411s for a few years and had 6 of them in a larger ORCA bag running into an Audio Wireless antenna distro unit and that distro was using a pair of Betso Bowties. Great setup. Always found clean channels. I had 2 UCR411s in Block 470, 2 of them in Block 19 and 2 of them in Block 20. That gave me a little more flexibility if one block was more congested than another and I didn't need to run all 6 at the same time. All transmitters I use are Lectro LTs in the A1 band. I just bought a DSQD to go in my bag and reduce a lot of clutter and some weight and get current with Lectro tech. I can now use Wireless D…

Anyone every work with a quiet lens motor? We do countless normal shots with hand in's close to the lens, and the focus racking of the lens motors are just too loud. Drives me crazy!! We are using Preston Motors, these are the only ones I have ever worked with, but have to figure there are others out there, AND quieter. Any one work with a quiet one?

Hello, I wanted to change the direct outs on my cooper 106 as to prefader because I want to use my direct out as Isos on my 788 and the, either L,R, or any other Mix Out as a Monomix and put it on ch 1 on the 788t. Supposedly on the cooper manual the changing of pins only affects the direct outs, but when I did it, it puts everything as prefader, wether the direct outs or the mix outs as well, any of the users remembers if this is correct? Or it might be something else failing or some hack I should know and don’t know… Thanks in advance! Axel.
