In fact, we will be just around the corner from the Santa Clarita Studios. Effective Monday, July 16th, our new address will be: Denecke, Inc. 25209 Avenue Tibbitts Valencia, CA 91355 Our phone and fax numbers will remain the same. Also, please note that to allow time for us to move, our office will be closed on Friday, July 13th, so please mark your calendars and plan accordingly. Best Regards, Charlie

Introducing the Lav-Rod, the newest addition to the lineup of wiring accessories from Sound Guys Solutions! The Lav-Bullet introduces a way to wire people in tight clothing without wasting time or having the talent have to go to a private area in order to feed the connector down their clothing! The Lav-Rod is made out of a very thin, yet extremely strong carbon fiber rod. The rod can be ordered in custom lengths, but is set at a standard 42” length (which is long enough to wire a 6’ tall person with no problem). The components of the Lav-Rod are machined out of DELRIN (hard plastic) and used to connect the lavaliere and assist with pushing the wire down the tig…

I would like to plunge in to zaxcom wireless world but am afraid that the total misinformation and contradicting user experiences will make me regret it. There is nobody in Las Vegas that can let me try before I buy. So if there was a 2-3 weeks money back guarantee I would like to give qrx100 and trxLA a try. I know the senators hat but prefer to ask the question in public.

STAMP OUT "MIT OUT SOUND!" A popular (presumed to be mythical) origin theory is that MOS stands for broken-English "Mit out sound", that is, "Without sound" as a 1920s German-émigré director might have said it. According to this theory, a German director, recently transplanted to Hollywood (probably Ernst Lubitsch, but possibly Fritz Lang), was asked by a script supervisor how he would like to shoot the next scene of the day. The director responded "Mit out Sprechen!", and so this was noted as a joke on the production reports and the camera slates for the shot. In The Screenwriter's Bible, David Trottier credits the term to Austrian director Erich von Stroheim…

On behalf of Sound Guys Solutions, I want to thank everyone that has been giving their opinions on our products as well as suggestions. As we have said before, we do not take any suggestions lightly! Lav-Bullet Updates Last year, we discovered that some people were having issues with the TA Style adapters that connected to the Lav-Bullet. If dropped, it had the potential of breaking across the threads, as well as denting the outer shell. We developed a workaround, and are now including an aluminum insert with every LB-LECTRO adapter that will greatly increase the strength of the adapter. But we didn’t stop there. We have since gone back to the dra…

A new product that will be shown at the NAB show in the Remote Audio booth is the Meon "Extra LiFe" 20A/hr battery module (also called the "EL20"), which can be seen here: http://www.remoteaudio.com/extra_life_20/, and shown with the Meon LiFe here: http://www.remoteaudio.com/pdfs/extra_life_20_userguide.pdf. The Extra LiFe was designed to be a single rackspace supplemental battery module for the Meon LiFe. The Meon LiFe system has a 20A/hr internal battery, so adding the Extra LiFe module doubles the capacity to 40A/hrs. Since its Lithium Iron Phosphate chemistry is a nearly direct replacement for the Lead Acid gell-cell batteries still in use, the Meon Extr…

Dearest Sound Community, Have you ever wondered where time comes from? Where was it born? Is there a father and a mother of time? ... and if so, were they properly in sync during procreation? Was father too early and mother too late? ... The Evolution of Time

Just an update on a previous topic regarding CF cards and a pro dealers ability to compete in the CF/SD card arena. We decided that the best way to go on this is to offer to our customers comparably priced, higher quality cards intended for professional use. LSC is now offering the Delkin Pro line of UDMA enabled CF cards as our go-to brand of media cards. We chose this product because of the dramatically improved endurance of these pro cards vs the consumer cards, the super fast write speeds, lifetime warranty, local (Poway) manufacturing and support, as well as competitive price. http://delkin.com/c-129084-memory-compactflash.html Thanks to everyone wh…

This is the second time I've sent in a pole - first was for a stuck collar and this time for an internal cable replacement (2 different poles just FYI). Each time they come back I feel like I'm getting a new pole. Kudos Dave and everyone at K-Tek! Couldn't be happier! -Greg-

Previewing VK 2012 cart for your comments. The bottom module remains the same, The top module is the same exterior size, the internal spaces have been re-arranged. The top half shelf has been reduced in depth from 250mm to 200mm. This allows for most mixer bags to stand on the full shelf, utilising a depth of 250mm. The main full shelf has been dropped down. This allows most mixer bags to lay on their backs on this shelf, utilising a height of 275mm. In this section there will be as standard a free shelf for use in more formal setups. Bolted to nut inserts in the frame, it will be able to be removed/replaced independently. It will have 2 positions …

Is the underwater world a silent world? No, the depths of the sea are as full of exciting sounds and voices as any other habitat rich with species. However, humans can't perceive these sounds under normal circumstances, and so this world has been hidden from us so far. During the twelve days of filming around the Caribbean island of Bonaire for the documentary "The cannon crackers of the pistol shrimp", for the first time a microphone technology was used, that was previously only available to researchers and allows the recording of sounds of the underwater world not only true-to-life, but also in surround quality. This documentary is a teaser for a documentary serie…

Due to the high costs of manufacturing the "Reflecto Pole", we have haulted production on that product. However, we do have some other new things coming out. First, is our sharkfin antenna mount that we are cleverly calling "The Shark". Check it out here. Next is something a little different for us, but completely useful for production sound mixers. We have made a machined aluminum case for the iPhone 4 and 4s. Why would we do this? Because so many people are using iPhones on their carts as controlling devices with various wifi products, and our case has threaded 1/4x20 threaded holes so you can mount it on a little tripod. Check it out here.
