For those who may be in need, Zaxcom just released their own battery system for the TRX 992. The Zaxcom ZPX battery ($80) will last anywhere from 7-9 hours (personally field tested). You will need a new charger ($40, single battery only) as well, being the VPX chargers are not compilable. If you didn't know, the Black&Decker VPX battery was discontinued and is getting harder to find. So if you find you self in need for a better battery for your 992 we have them available. We thank members of this forum for recognizing our product. We had created Moving Blanket for Soundproofing, “Producer’s choiceâ€ by request and recommendations of sound recording professionals and movie producers, members of another forum – DVXUsers. After some discussion what would be the best sound blanket for acustic room treatment, there was a consensus that Outer fabric would be cotton, not shiny polyester. The weight would be around 8 lbs – lighter would be not enough and heavier would be too heavy to manage. And the colors – Black one side and White the other for special light reflective. So this is what we did. (http://moverssupplies.com/Moving-B…

I think it's a good idea to have someone of Robert's Kennedy's caliber flying our flag out there as a brand of excellence. Robert is a special person who really knows our craft. We have a wonderful relationship and so we agreed that he will still be a part of Coffey Sound, between going out as a technician occasionally on day jobs, but continue working at Coffey Sound between his gigs. We still miss him when he's not here, so Robert has graciously found and trained his understudy at Coffey Sound. His name is Nick Hurtado. Nick already came with an excellent audio skill set and Robert has done a mind-meld with him. They are now interchangeable in their duties and …

Hi All I need to borrow your ear (eye) for a moment! I'm in the process of re-writing the Deva/Fusion User Manual. I need someone to help me rewrite the Effects Chapter that will be used in both User Manuals. I am by NO means an authority on the subject. I am looking for someone that is knowledgable in using Zaxcom's implementation of Equalization and Compression that could describe their theory about using them. What the chapter needs to do: * provide inexperienced individuals with the information to intelligently experiment with the technology before bringing it onto the set, and * provide experienced individuals transitioning to Zaxcom equipment with th…
