http://tascam.com/news/display/12584/ http://filmtvsound.com/index.php/recorders/427-tascam-releases-new-firmware-for-hs-p82 With years of user feedback, we updated the HS-P82 firmware to make it even more useful for film and TV production work. Metadata is now in the BEXT chunk, as well as the iXML chunk. This removes all reason for complaints about lack of Metadata info in the legacy Avid Media Composer workflows. More data in the iXML chunk to be able to check what version of firmware the recorder was using when file was created. We fixed all the confusing ways that Mirroring used to work. Now you get an identical directory structure and files on…

RastOrder News... The RMC cart is returning. It will largely be a title for variants, i.e. bottom module variant 1 & top module variant 3 etc. This seems to me a way to take on some personal design work flows for people. Please understand I am not really interested in re-inventing the wheel, or completely designing your workflow to suit some imaginary cart. There are plenty of good cart designs for sale out there. If you don't want one of mine. Or you can build one yourself. Below is a modified SU cart I built for a Video Assist operator. I call it RMC variant Bottom mod1/top mod 1... Thank you for your interest.

Hey all, just wanted to let you know my button-down lav mounts are now available at Pro Sound. You can get them in black or white for the COS-11, DPA 4060 series, or B6. http://www.pro-sound.com/p/SABEMICMOUNT.html I made these to deal with a really awful work shirt on a show I've been on this summer. Starchy, crackly and dense, it responded weakly to some of my favorite tricks but was still a pain. I had the idea to brute-force a solution that would give the mic some clearance and also create a dead space in the shirt, movement-wise. I tried a couple of different materials and this is the result. The mounts are very flexible, vibration-absorbent, and strong - they…

Hello all, This is John Cyphers with Batteries Plus Bulbs here in Atlanta. I work with quite a few mixers here in the area and wanted to post this to see if anyone had any interest. About a year ago I purchased quite a few iPower 520 9 Volts. I did not sell as many as I anticipated, and have excess stock that is sitting on my shelf. At this point I figure they shouldn't go to waste, so anyone who wants them please let me know via email jcyphers@batteriesplusga.com. They come in packs of 4, and all I ask is that you pay for the shipping costs for them. Just hit me up and we can discuss details. So say we all!

Rastorder is attempting to design and supply covers for our carts. We had a meeting with a motor trimmer today and a prototype is in the wings. We will start with the Foldup cart and depending on how it goes, we will cover the other carts. I need a bit of help here. I would like to keep it simple. I would like to know whether it should come as one unit or have a separate section for the top lift off half shelf. I would like to know what access is required. If you own a Rastorder Foldup cart - think you might own one one day - or just want to give us your 2 cents worth. Could you please help with pictures and/or comments. Any info gained here might relate to…

Its a quote I borrowed from Eric Burge... Just made 2 of these (modified 2G carts) for a lighting bloke here in AUS. Thought it might give a few of you ideas. The larger sliding shelves are for a grand MA ultra light console - they will take up the entire shelf but only weigh13.6kg, not much more than an O1V's 12.5kg. The other shelf - which is reversable is for a laptop. Up above on the half width shelf will sit monitors. Yep, thats a coffee cup holder with coffee cup on end. RS

Hi all, after we received a lot of feedback regarding our original ERX holder, we've chosen to split the functionality. We are now offering 2 different versions of the Stingray ERX Holder: KSERX2 (for mounting only) features a removable ¼-20 threaded insert and Velcro backing KSERX3 (for wearing only) features a swivel belt clip So, if you are planning to hand your ERX to the Director use the KSERX3. If you're planning to mount your ERX to a camera use the KSERX2's Velcro to stick it to the back of the monitor or a magic arm via the 1/4-20 insert. The Silicone Holder remains unchanged and still offers additional protection for your investment…

I would like to please gather your input in a brainstorming frenzy! Portabrace haven't made too many significant changes to their AO-Organizer series of bags, with the recent AO-633 being an exception. It's been a project I've wanted to dive into and get started for a while, as I'd like to improve the bag line for all its users, including myself. After attending NAB this year, I was really encouraged by the feedback I got from users. So I am now making sure that Portabrace's "Audio Department"... Me. Discuss suggestions about product development and modifications. What better place to research those changes than here! Below is the current list of intended mod…

I see that there's already a thread on the topic of this new product, but here's the official announcement: http://www.lectrosonics.com/US/lectrosonics-introduces-the-pdr-personal-digital-recorder.html And, I don't see it posted yet on New Endian's site, but James coded up a new app to give "dweedle" control of the PDR for start/stop, etc.
