I would like to please gather your input in a brainstorming frenzy! Portabrace haven't made too many significant changes to their AO-Organizer series of bags, with the recent AO-633 being an exception. It's been a project I've wanted to dive into and get started for a while, as I'd like to improve the bag line for all its users, including myself. After attending NAB this year, I was really encouraged by the feedback I got from users. So I am now making sure that Portabrace's "Audio Department"... Me. Discuss suggestions about product development and modifications. What better place to research those changes than here! Below is the current list of intended mod…

I see that there's already a thread on the topic of this new product, but here's the official announcement: http://www.lectrosonics.com/US/lectrosonics-introduces-the-pdr-personal-digital-recorder.html And, I don't see it posted yet on New Endian's site, but James coded up a new app to give "dweedle" control of the PDR for start/stop, etc.

To celebrate their 20-year anniversary K-Tek brings back a beloved classic Boom Pole Accessory: the K-Tek Klassic Counterweight, which was previously also known as the Hodge’s Weight. As shooting days and individual take lengths continue to grow longer, boom pole operators everywhere are fighting fatigue. Even though K-Tek’s Graphite boom poles are some of the lightest in the industry, a rigged boom pole might actually “feel” heavier throughout a long shooting day. Although the weight of the dressed pole may only be four pounds, it’s the downward movement force of the microphone and mount at the far end of a long pole that’s the culprit. Due to the length of the boom…

This is a first for us. If you have an old TASCAM USB interface and buy a new TASCAM USB audio interface, you can get a rebate of $40/$60/$80 when you send the old one back to us. We're buying it back, so you don't have to hawk it on eBay and deal with questions from someone who doesn't realize it's legacy gear and thought they were getting a bargain. http://tascam.com/general/twogreatoffers

We are really excited to announce that we are now taking orders for our new Spacer Bubble. Think of it like our current Windkillers but with removable fur. It is available in all of our standard Windkiller sizes. The removable fur makes it easy when going from an exterior to an interior, as you don't have to completely change out windscreens. You just remove the fur and keep moving. The mesh covered foam stays on the mic and is extremely acoustically transparent. Check it out on our website and talk with your dealer to get yours reserved. We begin shipping within the next week or so in the US.

Next week is our 15th anniversary...holy cow. For some fun, we are looking for the user with the oldest Sound Devices product still in use. That user will get a token of our appreciation. Since day one, our serial number syntax has remained the same, and it includes the date built. Attached is an example, which happens to be the very first serialized product we ever made, still sealed and sitting on the shelf in the conference room next to the labeled "Sound Devices" box. It was made on the 85th day of 1999, March 26. It was one of several built to be ready for NAB 1999, our first year there. Serial number description: first two digits - product code (will …

I visited NAB and then went to Lectrosonics and Zaxcom last year to get trained in repair and maintenance. This year, I go to IBC and then to DPA and Schoeps for the same. -vin
