Hi All I need to borrow your ear (eye) for a moment! I'm in the process of re-writing the Deva/Fusion User Manual. I need someone to help me rewrite the Effects Chapter that will be used in both User Manuals. I am by NO means an authority on the subject. I am looking for someone that is knowledgable in using Zaxcom's implementation of Equalization and Compression that could describe their theory about using them. What the chapter needs to do: * provide inexperienced individuals with the information to intelligently experiment with the technology before bringing it onto the set, and * provide experienced individuals transitioning to Zaxcom equipment with th…

HI ALL I'm in the process of putting together the new Fusion 10/12 User Manual and am looking for ideas for what you, the owners/operators, would like to see in it. For those of you who have looked at the latest Wireless UM, you know the format I will use to build the Fusion UM. If you've discovered a workaround for a problem or a unique solution to make your job easier, with the Fusion or Deva, I would like to hear them. Also, if there is anything you would like to see included, or excluded, tell me. As always, If you don't want to contact me in public, the email on my account is correct. TIA and have a GREAT DAY!!! Fred from New Zealand has just designed & had made a new 2 part cover for his VK cart. It allows the modules to be separated with the cover on. What can I say - this cover easily upstages the cart it was made for - congratulations Fred. While you are admiring the cover, take a look at his backyard - envy. envy.envy. Rob Stalder

Hey everyone, A good friend of mine is preparing a production in Chicago and couldn't find a good place to rent sound equipment. I checked myself and found some ENG rentals, but no store where I could rent a decent mixer or recorder. Is this possible? The third most populated city in America doesn't have a good place to rent a sound package? If anyone could point me to a good rental house in the tri-state area (Illinois, Indiana, or Wisconsin) I would be much obliged. Thanks!

Is there a dealer in Europe that specializes in Location Audio Gear like Trew Audio or Coffey Sound in the US? Or, what do you do when you want to find out about prices for a certain piece of gear? Being primarily a post guy myself, I first go to Thomann.de - they've got Senn & Schoeps, but if I want Lectros, Sound Devices, Ambient, Tram, etc, I have to call local dealers (in Serbia) who then have to look it up and order from somewhere, and they can't give prices right away - I have to wait for a couple a days.... Thanks! Danijel Milosevic www.danijelmilosevic.com

We have just posted the Zaxcom QRX100 page on our web site. http://www.zaxcom.com/qrx.htm There is a lot of detailed information on this new 4 channel ENG receiver, its IFB return channel and sync generator options. In the photos page is a shot of the unit in its Zaxcom camera holder. You will notice a group of 12 LEDs (3 per channel) located on the side of the unit. These will clearly indicate from a great distance that audio is being received by the QRX100 on each of its 4 channels. As most ENG receivers face the sky when in use it seemed logical to position the LEDs in a position that could be easily seen when in the camera mount. The unit can be reversed in the…
