I wanted to take a second and share what I've been up to during the shutdown. Thinking about how things were going to change as productions started back up during a pandemic, I began working on a new software service with a partner to help support productions get back to work remotely. The service is called SetStream. https://setstream.io We are a cloud based streaming service that enables productions to stream from set to clients in real time (averaging 200ms delay world wide). Being a web browser based solution, anyone who has been granted access to log on by the project manager, can watch and collaborate from any device (Mac, Windows, iOS, An…

Unless I am mistaken, there is no way to cut a wav files into shorter/smaller files in Wave Agent. I would live to have that feature in a futur release of it. Would make it easier to send files to post using things like we transfer ( max 2gb at a time ). Pascal

Hi all, I'm prepping for a film in Asheville and need to get local frequency compliant radio mics with racked RX, some program monitoring TX/RX too. What are the nearest reputable companies I could be looking at? Everything nearby seems to be video A/V so any pointers will be gratefully received. I'll also be needing an assistant/trainee. Where is the best source for that? Please forgive me but I'm new to using this rather wonderful site and haven't learnt my way round it yet. Warm regards, Julian

As we are moving away from having permanently built in rack drawers in our carts - currently the SU, the VK and the 2g - and any future carts. We are exploring the possibility of supplying our own rack drawers of the type shown in the accompanying picture. We probably will only be able to supply a limited size range. They would be made of aluminium. If anyone can help with information on their preferred size and what they put in them it would be a great help. Thank you, Rob Stalder, www.rastorder.com.au

I get asked this a lot. I did create a page on our website explaining this, but I figured I'd also create one of those flow charts that seem popular these days to help explain things further. You can see it here: http://ktekbooms.com/pinnipedi/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Boom_Pole_Flow_Chart.pdf

Due to the interest in Nomad at NAB I do not think customers were aware of an importaint new feature that we also introduced at the show. So here it is... WhiteOut â„¢ At NAB 2011 Zaxcom introduced a new Zaxcom wireless microphone system feature. WhiteOut â„¢ is a frequency hoping system that automatically finds clear frequencies to operate on that are the best possible choice at the exact moment they are needed. This feature will help to avoid interference from “white space devicesâ€ and other interfering signals. WhiteOut also eliminates the need to change and coordinate frequencies on location. This is ideal when different locations are utilized in a news…
