ENG/EFP AUDIO WHITE PAPER (MAXX, QRX and ERX2TCD) Zaxcom has developed a new work flow for the production of audio in ENG/EFP applications. This system eliminates many individual devices currently used to meet the demand of today’s production environment. In doing so this system reduces the interference generated by multiple wireless transmitters and improves the quality of the delivered audio. Improvements in sound bag size, weight and elimination of interconnecting cables are also benefits. The demands on the ENG/EFP sound mixer have evolved to the point where wireless audio transmission to the camera, confidence return from the camera, wireless time code distr…

Nomad is now shipping to our dealers. The current feature set includes all basic mixing and recording functions including many features not available in competitive mixer/recorders. The Nomad feature set has many unique advanced features not found in any other mixer/recorder offering. These features will be activated through software upda…

Our beta testing of recording wireless is now over and we are shipping the released product. The TRX900 digital recording wireless now records audio on a 2.0gig mini SD card and provides 12 hours of uncompressed recording. The units record in a loop providing time code referenced access to the last 12 hours of recorded audio. Any bit of audio can be transferred from any location on the card. The file system is FAT32 so that PCs and MACs can both transfer audio. Zax file utilities are available for both platforms. The file system is based on Zaxcom MARF that is audio centric and totally fault tolerant. Memory cards can be physically removed or the TRX900 can be powered dow…

The ERX1 is a monitor receiver with time code display. The ERX1 offers audio quality unmatched by any FM monitor system. The all digital transmission system offers excellent range and fidelity. No noise or distortion can be introduced in the transmission making critical monitoring possible via wireless reception. Script supervisors can use the ERX1 to monitor audio, time code and meta data. A time code display hold…

Tomorrow Zaxcom will release software version TRX695 for the TRX900 and ZFR100/200 . This version will add the capability to directly go into record and stop mode from the home menu of the TRX900. It also expands the compatibility of Zaxcom recording wireless and ZFR personal time code referenced recorders with any brand and type of SD card to be used as recording media. Currently Sandisk and Transend are the only supported cards. With this update any SD card should work. Software will be available at Zaxcom.com Glenn

Zaxcom upgrades Zax-Net time code capability. The Zax-Net system of time code, IFB audio, wireless remote control and metadata distribution via 2.4 GHz RF signal has had its time code capability and accuracy upgraded. With the ERX1TCD IFB audio/time code receiver the Zax-net system can deliver time code anywhere on the production set with an accuracy of +/- .01 frames with no drift. The ERX1TCD can now also delay or advance its time code output up to 10 frames to accommodate the picture delay that often takes place when video is converted to a different format. The ERX1TCD can also delay its IFB audio output as well so that both time code and audio will match picture…

I would like to plunge in to zaxcom wireless world but am afraid that the total misinformation and contradicting user experiences will make me regret it. There is nobody in Las Vegas that can let me try before I buy. So if there was a 2-3 weeks money back guarantee I would like to give qrx100 and trxLA a try. I know the senators hat but prefer to ask the question in public.

Hello All, This topic is being discussed on other forums and Facebook pages, so I am duplicating this announcement here on JWSound to give it proper community awareness. On Dec 17th Trew Audio received notice from the Certification Bureau of Industry Canada that there are no IC approvals for Zaxcom wireless transmitters, and therefor their sale and import in Canada are prohibited. ("IC" is the radio approval agency of Canada, similar to the FCC in the US). It's not that approvals had been denied; certification had never been applied for. Sorry to keep everyone wondering what was going on, but I decided to delay a public explanation until we knew what Zaxcom's inten…
