Hey all. I just wanted to let everyone know that in addition to being with Sound Guys Solutions I'm also working with BubbleBee Industries. We've recently re-vamped our website, which you can see here. We also have a cool video for our Invisible Lav, which you can see here. It's a great video that shows the many uses of the Invisible Lav.

We have been working on a lot of new products at Bubblebee Industries. One of the new things is the new Short Hair Windkiller. You can check it, and many other products out, at https://www.bubblebeeindustries.com/.

We are really excited to announce that we are now taking orders for our new Spacer Bubble. Think of it like our current Windkillers but with removable fur. It is available in all of our standard Windkiller sizes. The removable fur makes it easy when going from an exterior to an interior, as you don't have to completely change out windscreens. You just remove the fur and keep moving. The mesh covered foam stays on the mic and is extremely acoustically transparent. Check it out on our website and talk with your dealer to get yours reserved. We begin shipping within the next week or so in the US.

Well, almost free... give or take just a few bucks... and... off B&H prices... Usual suspects are not that much... If you wanted to stock up before the mic "goes away" ?... sounds like a good time.. Still a good deal... Instant sound guy... You will need headphones and a SD card though... http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1097628-REG/sennheiser_mkh416_p48u3_short_shotgun_mic_h6.html

Hello, I have been trying to communicate with Canare Japan (headquarter/sales) for a big order but the emails addresses provided on their website have never responded (about 9 month now) despite several attempts. (my goal is to have product shipped to Kenya...) Anyone could provide me with a more direct contact that is responding ? That would be appreciated. Thanks Fred

After a nearly 10 year hiatus, we are going to bring back our PSC Digislate (documentary style bloop slate with scene and take numbers) We last sold these almost a decade ago. Well it seems that all the D5 and D7 users need a bloop slate once again. We cannot just re-release the old design as many of the parts are no longer available. So its time to start a new design. So far we have had requests for 2 digits, a bloop tone (both wired and an audible tone from the box itself) and so on. If you have any ideas on what you would like to see included in the design, please post you ideas here or email me at: ron at professionalsound dot com Thanks for any input…

Zaxcom has just released new software for the ERX1TCD that perfectly interfaces to the Canon 5D. Using an off the shelf 3.5mm cable, audio and time code are sent to the camera at mic level. No modification to the ERX1TCD is necessary. The time code is bandwidth limited and at a level that prevents crosstalk to the audio track. The ERX1TCD is a audio/time code RF receiver with built in time code generator providing a consistent time code feed under all RF conditions. Audio is transmitted via 100% digital transmission for a compander and noise free result. Software version 2.09 on the camera is required. Glenn Sanders President Zaxcom Inc.

Today, Friday the 20th is the last day to get this excellent package for 1/2 price. AudioTools by Andrew Smith is only $9.95 in the iTunes store until 5 PM PT today, then it goes back to $20 for an excellent package, which licenses the excellent engine from popular, professional (and pricey!) SMAART by Rational Acoustics. (I have been a SMAART user since the 90's). and one more deal: for any who shop at monoprice.com, save 10% all during June with code: infocomm14 at checkout.

We have worked a long time on this project and are pleased to offer CEDAR noise reduction on the 8-Series. This is another available option, along with our own internally developed NoiseAssist, for realtime noise suppression. These processes take advantage of the enormous computational power in the 8-Series. https://www.sounddevices.com/sound-devices-and-cedar-audio-ltd-announce-cedar-sdnx-for-8-series/

As we transition deeper into the world of CF cards, pro audio dealers such as ourselves find themselves in a difficult position. Our customers need CF cards, would more often than not like to patronize their pro dealer of choice to get them but, find that pricing from online sites or big box retailers is significantly better than they can get from us. Specialty retailers such as ourselves, do not buy in the massive quantities that a Fry's or others who can who move huge numbers of them to the consumer world at large do. I currently offer name brand CF cards as a convenience for my customers, and they know they are paying a little bit more to save themselves a trip elsew…

Hey everyone, A good friend of mine is preparing a production in Chicago and couldn't find a good place to rent sound equipment. I checked myself and found some ENG rentals, but no store where I could rent a decent mixer or recorder. Is this possible? The third most populated city in America doesn't have a good place to rent a sound package? If anyone could point me to a good rental house in the tri-state area (Illinois, Indiana, or Wisconsin) I would be much obliged. Thanks!

Joe D’Augustine and I have been working to clear out items from Chinhda’s old shop and we have available several brackets to hold Sound Devices 744/702 recorders. For anyone not familiar with Chinhda, he was a machinist and engineer of remarkable skill and ingenuity. He began making specialty carts for Mike Denecke and went on to build carts for many of the top sound mixers. A remembrance of him can be found in the Spring 2018 edition of Production Sound and Video: https://magazine.local695.com/magazine/spring-2018/chinhda The bracket holds a 744/702 series recorder securely. Like all of Chinhda’s products, no modification of the recorder is …

Our friends at Backstage Equipment will be exhibiting a Chinhda cart at Cinegear Expo this weekend. For those not familiar with it, Cinegear Expo has booths showing film and video equipment and also seminars, panel discussions and demonstrations. It will be at Paramount Studios in Hollywood tomorrow (Friday) from 4pm to 9pm and Saturday from 10am to 5pm. You can find out more about Cinegear at this site: http://cinegearexpo.com/sem3d.html Anyway, it's a good chance to stop by and get a good look at the latest version of the cart. (and probably some other stuff like Red cameras and the like) That particular cart is pledged to a client so please don't poke a…

We have a housing built by Chinhda to hold two monitors. A sheet of clear Lexan provides protection for the screens from on-set hazards. There is a built-in speaker with volume control that may be used to monitor set activity during lighting. While the speaker is powered up, a meter tracks the voltage of the power supply. The speaker may be switched off for takes or simply reduced to no level to retain the power readout. On the left side there is a hinge to hold a clipboard for sides. It can fold against the monitors while moving or storing the cart and the tension of the hinge is adjustable. Please let me know if you are interested: David Waelder - davidwae@earthl…

Here we are. Pianissimo is ready for shipping ! Many demo units all around ! Ask your dealer.
