Hi gang, I'm trying to help out a crew I had the pleasure of working with recently by putting them in touch with a local South Korean sound mixer. I can't recommend these guys highly enough, they were amazing to work with, very laidback, unpretentious, humble and generally just a joy to be around. The job is sort of ENG/reality, essentially it's a branded doco, but very easy gig, generally no more than a boom and one wireless mic, occasionally a second, seperate recorder and a wireless scratch track to camera + TC. Hit me up if you're based in South Korea (or know of anyone who is) and I'll pass on some details. Thanks!

Hey there! I'm a recently graduated 28-year old soundie from Helsinki, Finland. Did my bachelor's at Tampere University of Applied Sciences, the degree programme in Film and Television. Guess what I specialized in? I started doing odd audio jobs in the local industry while studying, and at graduation I already have experience from a feature film and a 10 part drama series in addition to some ads and corporate stuff. I have a 633 and some mics of my own, and I'm working on getting wireless gear. I speak and write pretty good English and I keep an international circle of friends, so I'll get along with people from outside Finland just fine. I'm very solution oriented…

Seahawks All Access is looking to hire local soundies for Seahawks road dates this season. The season is already underway, and therefore this is late notice. This show just got picked up right at the end of preseason. Heck, I was just notified early last week that they wanted my help. Anywho... The shoot is for a TV show called Seahawks All Access. You would be working with an ENG photographer who will supply you with a Lectrosonics smqv transmitter to provide a wireless hop from your boom kit to the camera for a single system shoot with their Sony PDW-700 being the recorder. The gig is covering pregame team warmups, bench/sideli…

Hey guys, I'm pretty new here and have found everything on this site very informative and sometimes entertaining! That said I just wanted to throw up a little post to get a feel if there are any east coast mixers on here, particularly based in the VA area. I currently live and work for a small production company in VA but I'm looking to get more freelance work in the sound department. If anyone needs a utility or boom op in the general vicinity of Richmond or DC let me know! I also have family in Philadelphia so that trip is easy for me as well! Thanks, Evan

I am a production sound mixer. I live in Austin and work all around Texas. I am a member of the Local 484. I primarily do a lot of commerical/doc/reality work. But also do a fair amount of narrative work. I own a couple of all Zaxcom Rigs. I am looking to start making connections in LA, I'm interested in entertaining the possibility of moving to a busier market to work on larger projects. I'm willing to utility, boom or mix. I will be in LA September 7th-12th. If anyone would like to meet, I would love to meet some fellow mixers and grab a drink! If anyone is interested please email me! Thanks! Hi there, My name is James Nolan. I just moved to Los Angeles last week after spending the past 5-6 years in Orlando, FL. I'm originally from Dublin, Ireland but have been a Legal Permanent Resident since 2011. I run a 788t/Lectro package with Sennheiser/DPA mics and I've done work for Disney, National Geographic, Discovery ID, Vice, Fox Sports, and many others. I'm mainly an ENG Commercial/Doc/Reality Mixer but I would relish the opportunity to Boom or run Utility for someone here. https://www.nolanaudio.com/ If any other sound mixers in the area would like to meet up, feel free to give me a shout! jnolanaudio@gmail.com 470-332-4431

Hello, After 6 years in Richmond, VA I'm relocating to Los Angeles with my sights set on working with a solid sound team. Having made the trek to the east coast from San Diego in 2011, I posted on the RAMPS/JW forum and connected with VA/DC based sound mixers which was key in building great friendships and working relationships during my time here, so I'm hoping to do the same as I make my return to CA! Looking to connect with good folks after I arrive July 2nd! Best, Richard

I have to leave early on a documentary shoot and production would like to book a solid local mixer for an interview on 5/11. Not sure of there's any verite involved but my sense is that it is just an interview. Interview is critical to the production, they are very selective, as it involves a wrongful conviction case. Email me and I will put in touch with production. azw@loopfilmworks.com

Graduating film school in the middle of May. I'm based out of Santa Fe, but travel isn't too big of an issue for me. Looking to work as a boom op or utility, try to build up some connections. I'm a little green, but a quick learner and a good listener, so I think you'll find I can adapt very quickly. PM me if you have anything or anybody I should get in contact with! Thank you!

Hi gang, Pretty easy gig in Atlanta and Houston. It's not for picture, but is sound related and helps pay the bills. Admin, if its out of place my apologies. I can (or you can?) take this down if not in the right place. The job requires recording a round table discussion. I used a bunch of figure 8's and two cardioids to record everyone(about 10-17 people). There is no picture involved so that makes it easier. Most of the stuff is going to end up transcribed so the audio will not really be used and probably be discarded. Transcription gig I suppose. Fairly short and nice pay. Below are the timing details: Atlanta-April 6 5pm Calltime - Rec finish At 8.30Hou…
