Hi, Is it possible to get a 12V AC power supply and change the connector to hirose and power up the 633/ 664? Based on the diagram, only pin 1 and 4 is used. Shouldn't be too difficult? Anything I should watch out for? Thanks. Ben

I am constantly switching back and forth( trying to save back trauma ) between my 633 and 688/SL-6 setup. This requires me to continually remove/install the bottom plates of my SRs. I remember seeing awhile back some pictures of some really nice bags equipped with SRs with Uni plates installed with DB-25 connectors. I would like to have made up some breakout cables for my SRs with their uni/superslot plates so that i do not have to change plates so often. Anybody here do that? Also thinking of having joeco multipin I/O cables made up as well... thanks! j

We've clearly been overthinking this. We just need a bird feeder, a sink strainer, a paint roller, and a few other things. Some clever ideas in here, but uh... Under 5 minutes. If the audio at the head drives you nuts, jump to 1:45 for the step-by-step instructions.

I've just put together a travel NP1 charger by combining a Li-Ion charger from audioroot's ebay shop and an NP1 shoe http://rtsound.net/?p=315 Seems to work. I'm wondering whether I can hook it up to my hawk-woods distro on the unregulated lead. I've <hat>. I've also got an extra charger, so can put another one together (minus the NP1 shoe)

I am going to wire an older AT899(cW) for a Sennheiser G4 3.5mm. Am I correct that I connet the Mic (white) to the tip and tie the Bias(red) and ground to both the ring and sleeve?

Outputing from my SD 633 X3/X4 outputs to a Lectrosonics UM400 for IFB. Straight cable is a little too hot. Needs a pad of say -20 db. Handy with a soldering iron. What value are you guys using for resistors R1 and R2?. Diagram below. Don't need a lesson in Ohms law, just too lazy to create a spreadsheet on my own for something that I'm sure a dozen of you guys have done. TIA Or is there enough gain if I wire the TA5 into the lectro line level? I should have known to look on the Lectro site first. Found this. Since I can't delete this entire post, I'll leave it hear so it may help others.

Hi, I've been looking at this guide: http://www.lectrosonics.com/component/option,com_fss/Itemid,81/catid,4/kbartid,10/view,kb/ but it becomes a little bit confusing to know how to wire the 4063 model (not the 4060 or 4061 higher voltage models) for my SMV/SMQV transmitters. Would I just take fig.3 and put a 4 Kohm resistor since the 4063 takes less voltage ?

Hello all, I have been trawling through component websites looking for a DC power plug with the following dimensions; 2.1mm inner diameter 5.5mm outer 12mm barrell length (mating depth) I only seem to be able to find 2 on the internet. The switchcraft is good but quite expensive, and I have no need for the locking ring. The tensility is a bit rubbish. https://www.digikey.co.uk/en/products/detail/switchcraft-inc/767K/2749239 https://www.digikey.co.uk/en/products/detail/tensility-international-corp/55-00051/8626992 Does anyone happen to have any links for such a thing? Thanks in advance!

Jeff W. What 80/20 profile did you use for your current cart? Which corners, and did you have the pieces cut to length by the factory? David B.

Sennheiser G3 IFB / Cell Phone Case Mod / Sennheiser EK300 IEM I have been experimenting with modifying a Blackberry cell phone swivel holster case (HDW-23466-01 or 24208-001). The basic steps are: 1. Remove edge stitching enough to remove both magnets. 2. Make a template (punching/cutting guide) for the display window. 3. Punch or cut holes for headphone connection and window for the Sennheiser G2/G3 display window. 4. Stitch edges around the headphone cable hole. 5. Sew Velcro to the strap and holster face so strap will close without the magnets. 6. Stitch around the new window (you will need a curved needle). 7. Re-stitch around t…

Hey guys and gals, Bit of a noob question, but I'm having some trouble figuring out how to wire my cable. I want to run a Lectro R1a as a wireless reference track to camera(Arri Amira) I need to wire a 3.5mm trs to XLR. I'm concerned that the R1a will output a dual mono signal because it thinks stereo headphones are plugged in. I just want a balanced mono signal from R1a to single XLR input on camera. Is this possible? Thanks for your input and or output

Whenever my Loon pole gets wet, I take it apart and dry it. But I've never paid much attention to the wing until it crapped out on me last week. Turns out the MXLR was quite corroded. Now that I think about it, it does make sense; pointed up as it is, it's much more susceptible to the elements than other poles. Other than having to Dremel off one of the two protruding guides along the circumference to match the original XLR, it's an easy repair. An ounce of prevention...

Hi all, I have a couple old COS11 that i don't use to mic people with anymore. The cable jacket got kinda stiff with the time and i switched to DPA for lav since a couple of films already. I do use them a lot in car rigs and i was thinking of modifying a couple to be a gooseneck mic which would be much faster to rig and adjust. I am now looking for a small gooseneck where i could feed the COS11 cable into, glue the mic on one end and solder the connector on the other. My question to you guys is has any of you already try this? With success or not? has anyone found the perfect gooseneck to realise this mod? I tried to use the gooseneck of these small Ikea USB LED…

Maybe this is of interest for some here. Here is how I turned an ordinary Sennheiser G3 receiver to function as an IEM, have appropriate levels and have sound in both ears for around 30 bucks. TLTR Behringer P2 Hopefully it is interesting for anyone!
