I'm traveling around with my peli air 1637 case and would love to have a 4 wheel kit for this case. It seems the Peli 0500 castor wheel kit not compatible with this case, so I'm thinking to make wheel plates and attach swivel wheels. I think I can install 4 wheels and only drill in the bottom handle parts and original wheel holders and rather not drill in the bottom of my case. Would you recommend small 3 inch or big wheels 10 inch for a case that weighs 33kg (73 pounds) full for going on planes and trains and curbs in between? And for the cab rides in between, it could be handy that the wheels are quickly removable. All advice and experi…

Here are a few pics of a little addition I recently made to my mix bag (Petrol PEGZ-1F) workflow that I wanted to share with all of you. Found this Logitech Keys-To-Go Bluetooth keyboard (http://support.logitech.com/en_ca/product/keys-to-go-ipad) at Best Buy, which has been handy for punching notes into the Sound Report Writer app on my iPhone between takes. The interfacing with iOS isn't perfect for navigating through the app's text fields (I'm hoping to find a way to map out custom key commands to tab around more easily between fields, OR fingers crossed.. this will improve with an app update from Tyler at Inaudible Labs *pokes*) but after some field testing, it's de…

I'm currently looking at re doing my cables, including a db-25 loom for audio and power for my radio RX. It's a case I don't want to do this twice, so may as well make it superslot compatible. My current recorder has 2 UART serial ports and I'd need to leave one free for the control surface, so I'm wondering about adding a serial multiplexer to split one UART port across 4 RX Any reason why this wouldn't work?

We have a lot of SRb units and they don't always ALL make it back to the mothership unless they have to. They always update the firmware when it goes back, but most of ours are still living on 1.2 or 1.3 and they've obviously changed a few things since then. We ended up getting a LectroLink adapter to do the updates ourselves and wanted to share our experience. Lectro has a couple guides, but you have to e-mail them and ask for them, as of 2.26.15 anyways. Anywho, see the link below if you're interested. http://blog.texassoundguy.com/2015/02/diy-lectrosonics-srb-firmware-update.html

FYI the K Tek K SUS polymer microphone suspension will also work very well with the Audio technica At 8145, any Rycote with the metal circular 4 point mounts, and the Neumann 81 mount. The 81 elastic is useless over time and allows the mic too much movement but the K SUS does away with most of the mount, just the shafts get used. Much quieter as well. Seem to hold up extremely well.

Hey all - Has anyone discovered a way to mount a 5/8 baby pin on a standard 19" rack (which uses 10-32 screws)? I'd love to add a monitor arm to my Yamaha 01V96i mixer rack, but I can't seem to find a way to mount one on the rack rails. Thanks! -Mike

5 years. It's been 5 years since I initially envisioned something unique to get my ceremony gear to where it needed to go. For a while I've been using my R&R or Muver cart, and while it works to a certain degree it would have challenges over more rugged or less hospitable terrain. So I finally bit the bullet, and as some people saw as I was posting the build as it was happening, it all came together pretty quickly. So here is the full lowdown on the cart, where I got my inspiration from, even some of my original concept ideas, right into the current build including a full Build Of Materials for those that want to try this on their own. https://djlou.te…

Oh if it is kind of against the rules or something remove it, as for now im just a guy that made a charger for the moment so.... i am not selling them as a company. as of yet. (or maybe ever who knows) Here a small video about my charger. not so much specially made for this forum so ignore the explaining of why the use of np50's etc, i make videos often for things i like to make myself (loudspeaker related) so it is more for the people that watch my channel. but some of you might be interested to see how it operates... i dont know https://youtu.be/J60hAgsFz7w Greetings Joppe. .

Hi all, I am in a predicament. Our lovely DPA 4035 headset microphones are starting to fail - these are lovely, bulky headset microphone arms with DPA 4007 capsules on the end that get used in broadcast. We suspect it is just a worn-out cable at the top of the arm, but I can't seem to get it disassembled to repair or replace. DPA are no help. They no longer sell parts for the microphones, nor service them. Any thoughts on how I might get inside this thing? The capsule doesn't seem to unscrew at all. The tragedy is - if I can't get these things repaired, Rode headsets have been suggested as the replacements...

Dear Colleagues, with great interest, I read this discussion on how to replace the antennas of a Sennheiser EW100 G2; especially the option that might improve the diversity function by building a second Antenna into the receiver is of interest for me. Now I am thinking if there was also a possibility to find a place for the 2nd antenna on a EW500 G2 receiver- as it is very likely that the place You have on the EW100 receiver is taken by the 2nd plug of the EW500 G2. As I have no EW500 G2 on hand to check the possibilities I wanted to ask You, whether anybody knows how it looks inside the EW500 G2 receiver...?! …

Hi, I thought someone might have use for this. A small SDR and RTL2832 dongle combo for scanning frequencies if having problems with radio mics or RF interference. I use HDSDR but there are plenty of others around that are free including some basic spectrum analysers. The dongle connects via usb2 and antenna via sma. Inside the dongle the rtl chip can receive from 100khz to 2ghz (my version). Most do 50mhz up to 1.5ghz. Might be good for troubleshooting RF. GlennP

Hello Brains Trust, I have checked the manuals for the zaxcom Deva 24 and Mix 16 but I can not find the pin configuration for the TA5 slate microphone output on the Mix 16. The Trs input for the Deva 24 is sleeve ground ring - tip +. Wiring the TA5 1 sleeve 2 to tip 3 to ring, gives us level but has a loud hum interference sound. We have also tried with no connection on pin 3 with the exact same issue. Any thoughts? Regards Matthew

Has anyone ever removed a capsule from a Beyer M58? I've just had one through from Ebay and noticed a slight rattle in the head. Sounds like something is very slightly lose just below the capsule. I'm worried about removing the capsule though as I have form in destroying things that I'm trying to repair. Looks pretty simple though, the capsule looks to be held in position by a rubber shockmount diaphragm. I think it probably just pulls out but I don't want to force it and break something while I still have the chance of sending it back. Any suggestions?
