The MM-4240 accepts NP-1 batteries, we do supply a NP-1 connector cable with a locking connector. The production version of the MM-4240 is equipped with a locking DC connector. The power ON/OFF function is integrated in the headphone potentiometer and has a distinct mechanical click which makes it hard to accidently turn of the mixer. The solution also protects your ears in some manner.

The weight of the mixer is 1300 grams with batteries included.

The MM-4240 is "almost" released, the documents in the link are for a pre-release, and the final release will be in April 2014. The new documents will be posted on www.marenius.se soon. Regarding Freeheels comment: The mixer comes with a miniDIN-4 to 2xBNC breakout cable. There are acyually six C (R14) batteries, the chemistry is up to the user. The custom made Porta Brace carrying case solves the cable connectors on the back quite efficient.
