  3. Thanks, guys. I was thinking of picking up one from a buddy . Remember using the 441 for vocals on tracking dates in the room with drums and being amazed at the isolation and that same vocal intercutting with a U87. Planning to A B with an SM7 too. Mike Psanos
  4. Any thoughts or trials on a Sennheiser 441? Mike
  5. I've used mine 10 years and it just locked up . Was able to release it and is now working fine, hmmm. mike

  13. Tried to find the thread ... Thanks. Mike
  14. saw it 1D in a Regal RPX room , was not impressed with sound . wait for netflix.
  15. Mike, I was looking into and Acrylic film type of thing to cover the paint...problem is the paint is textured and not flat, and the acrylic wouldn't sit perfectly flat and adhere to the floor without bubbles. I was actually speaking to rolling on a coat (for hardwood floors) of flat polyurethane (test first) getting away from the contact of shoes and the acrylic surface. my 2 cents. mike
  16. We are on a stage and the set is a high school hallway. The hallways are the typical looking school or office halls, however while it looks like tile, its just acrylic paint on the MDF floor. Every shoe that walks on this surface squeaks and squishes, sounds like a bunch of wet sponges. Rubber soles (tennis shoes) are worse. We have tried the usual suspects...foot foam, tape, booties, etc. etc. but have had no luck. Perhaps a flat poly coat over that acrylic .... sounds like (no pun) the paint is the problem. mike
  17. Days past when the SD442 input count wasn't enough ... adding the mixpre to the gear list. Now keeping it in service for front end power and monitor for my wireless boom. The boom op I work with likes to wear a Versa harness keeping an eye on business. Also have used Senn G's for a talk solution on the second input.
  18. Matthias, Jim made some great comments, I've had this cart quite a while ... yes the tires go flat but i air up often before leaving the house. Overall it's doing what I need. I built a shelf for it for certain shoots, I'll post a pic if you want to see it. Mike
  19. My ride today, (2002 Frontier 4x4) , one talking head .... I use a bed bar to keep the gear at the tailgate. mike
  20. Zack, thanks for commenting on the 614. I just ordered one. mike
  21. Thanks Jeff. Sounds to me like it's time to be building a remote recording micro buss. m
  22. Yes Philip I agree . Some time back , there was interest in the Presonus mixers and their ability to record multichannel to something else? Sounds to me ( no pun ) that the SD Pix is a slamming solution, but using the 01v only allows one slot one card @ 16 i/o right?. Jeff, is the track count really exceeding 16 channels? Looking at the Dante licensees http://www.audinate.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=343 seems there could be a number new possibilities for contenders. I'm honestly not a fan of the yamaha mixers mic pres. Head amps they say. mike
