  1. eBoot 20 Pieces Clip-on Ferrite Ring Core RFI EMI Noise Suppressor Cable Clip for 3mm/ 5mm/ 7mm/ 9mm/ 13mm Diameter Cable, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E5E5IY4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_7zeqxb6QBXE3G
  2. Make sure that you have clip on ferrite cores on your cables feeding your Comteks. I have an M-216 in the bag and a BST-75 running alongside a 500mw L-Com antenna/amp on my cart. Both with Nomads and no issues.
  3. I really enjoy mixing with my HFI-680's, great headphones. I too purchased them after Eric Toline's glowing recommendation.
  4. Thanks Jeff, I had a feeling it was possibly the dense building material. I wondered if the higher frequency 2.4ghz might not penetrate the brick walls as well. I guess every frequency range has it's positives and negatives.
  5. Thanks Jack, I found the thread. Rado, since the Nomad is only 50mw output I was eager to do some walk test with my Zax IFB's. I was pretty happy with the range, but not blown away by it. I tested at several locations and only had some problems at one location. An older brick house, walked outside while transmitting from indoors, I only got about 30 feet away before signal break up.(There possibly could of been some 2.4ghz interference at that location). I plan to use my Nomad for cart use from time to time, and I want to use the TC IFB's for Camera reference + TC Sync. I still use my Comteks for client headsets. So, I just want to make sure I've got some decent range for that scenario. For most purposes, I think the onboard whip antenna should be fine.
  6. Anyone using the 2.4ghz amps for Zaxnet that some mixers are using on the IFB 100's. Curious if anyone has tested that out for cart use.
  7. So, when i got my Nomad a couple weeks ago I noticed that it was loaded with v2.55. Today, I got my Zaxcom IFB's in the mail, turned them on and matched frequencies with Zaxnet. Everything works great, synced TC, and transmits audio. It's a Christmas Miracle! Huzzah!
  8. Thanks so much for keeping us all updated throughout your beta testing of the Nomad Jack. Looks like Glenn is working hard to have as little bugs as possible in the first release. One of my pet peeves is when a company releases a product too early and the 1st generation buyers are nothing more than beta testers.
  9. Forrest modded my Onyx 1640 and did a great job. He also went way out of his way to make sure that I was satisfied after it was damaged when being shipped back to me. He's definitely a class act. If you can afford it, he'll take good care of you.
  10. My partner just had his 744T serviced about a month back and they replaced a number of things including the timecode card. Now the 744T is doing the exact same thing joshneal is describing. I'm not sure if the firmware upgrade fixed it or not. I haven't taken it out since.
