  1. Just updated my ERXs to 2.00, What you see in the picture, is my ERX just 15cm away from Nomad, getting TC from Zaxnet and feeding the TC back into Nomad TC in, there is 1 frame drift.. how could this happen?
  2. I had a experience with QRX 100 causing Noise. I don't know why, but every time when the LED on QRX 100 twinkled red, i get a "bip" impulse noise on my both analoge wireless channels. This happens even when the analoge wireless turned off. (QRX goes AES into Nomad and Analoge Wireless uses Analoge 3&4).. p.s. It would be nice if Zaxcom can open a service office in Europe, because shipping to the US is really a pain..
  3. Yes..Absolutely..there are many functions, which was originally as top features for Nomad advertised, until today still not available (remix/re-recording function, 8 AES Input, etc...)
  4. If you are going to buy in the EU, i would recommend VdB or Ambient, both are very well build and most resellers in the EU have them in stock. you can find the mini boompoles under 300€ (about 40cm or 50cm to 2m, for most interior situation is long enough). I have a Rode Boompole years ago before i got my Ambient XQ, never happy with Rode, they can not be 100% locked, and make noise itself. If you want to continue to do more boom job, a good boom pole is very important just like a gun for a soldier, it can save your life.
  5. Very nice one.!! I will try to make a wooden lav-bulett.
  6. Made these 2 Lav-bullet today by myself, it is from arrow head and a small piece of wood, costs about 5€/piece, works fine for me with Zaxcom Lavs
  7. Contacted the seller yesterday, he said that he got the mic directly from the headquarter of Sennheiser in Germany, so, that would very possibly to be a "Special Edition" :-) . A small surprise.
  8. from individual. just got reply from Sennheiser Service Center in Austria, they said it could be a very early "test muster", it will be very interesting to compare the sound between this one and a retail mkh8060.
  9. Thanks, I also fond this page, but the thing is, i only get this Mic, without any other accessories and package, I don't habe this QR Code or anything go typing in for authentication..
  10. I saw today a post about fake Sennheiser MKH416, and just for sure checked my MKH 8060, Which was also bought from Ebay (not from China, but from Polen). a little bit shocked, I'm even not sure if it's a real one or a fake. it looks different compare to the picture on Sennheiser's web. As you may see on the pic, there is no Logo and model number on the Mic and on pre-amp, which i could see on every pic from sennheiser's web, there should be logo and model number on the mic. After discover this, i did a test record immediately with my Nomad and did a comparison with some MKH-8060 review on YouTube, It's really hard to tell if it's real or a fake one, because i have never used a MKH-8060. I got a traditional german Tonmeister education with classical music recording background, work a lot with MKH-60 and Schoeps CMIT, the sound of this mic in my mind is some how not typical Sennheiser, but also not bad. so I am wondering, if some one have a 8060 and could sent me a small piece of record, that i can do a A-B Comparison, I would also like to send my test record to some one who have a 8060, to do this test.. Thanks a lot.
  11. Even though I am originally from Beijing, I would suggest you to fly equipments from the US, but not rent it there. when it must be, then better rent it from Beijing (the logistic costs in Chia is really cheap, you pay for a normal express package from Beijing to Guangzhou just 3 or 4 Dollars). http://www.dingrun.com/UI/Default2.aspx Here, they may can help. one of the biggest Audio Dealer in Beijing.
  12. Just finished a Show for Arte which is about Food and Cooking, We were in different Kitchens in Europe, include the Kitchen of EU Parliament. I had some problem with the Chef Cloth, it's really dick, and most of them are also very noisy. I tried with Vampier Mount with VT500, some times works, some time not, Moll-skin did not work for me. Sometimes, I hear very a noise from the cloth it self (If i put the mike hired, it's there, but for sure it's not a sound of rubbing, if I put the Mic outside, it's much better). I am just wondering, the Show like "MasterChef", how did they mount their Mic? I would be happy and thankful for every tips and tricks. Thanks.
  13. Cantar + 4 Lectros. For a TV-Doc for Arte/SWR And I use a schoeps double-MS (CMIT for dialogue, cardioid for Ambient) as my Boom.
  14. Thanks for all the replies and helps, the problem has been solved. the CR2320 is not that easy to get here in Vienna, I went to 3 different electronic shops, they all did not have this type of battery,..
  15. just opened my Nomad, that small black thing in front of battery, that is not a electrical devices right? because in order to get the battery, I have to remove it, so i think it's jus use to fix the battery. am i right?
  16. Just bought a used Nomad, the real-time clock does not work, every time after restart, the TC goes to 00:00:00:00. I think the coin cell battery is dead, has anyone changed the battery alone by self? I am living in Austria, there is unfortunately no Dealer for Zaxcom as i know.
  17. They can just make a app, which can connect with phone via USB, it's helps a lot for sound report and TX control. I mean, in 90% of the situations, you are working by your cart or bag, it's not really necessary to connect via WIFI for a 20 cm distance.
  18. In Europe, they NEVER have any Zaxcom product in Stock, I am living in Austria, if I want to buy Zaxcom Wireless, I have to go to Munich, Germany and purchase it with 30% more then the price in the US , and wait for several Weeks.. So, be lucky in the US, you have not to pay more and wait long. I think that also why Lectro is more more popular in EU. At least, they have some complete system always in stock.
