  1. and no any friction noise,u can feel the environment, love that
  2. i do think the best sound work is let audience never noticed how's the sound during the film playing. when i watched the Zodiac, the sound is really natural,i love that
  3. i just curious what kind of wireless and lava the mixer used ..... what a clean and nice voice.....
  4. In China, most of films, shown the production sound mixers' name at the beginning of the film, because in the old time here,20or 30years ago,the production sound mixer also doing the post sound design,it needs you know everything about the sound, production and post. But now, more and more filmmakers are studying the hollywood industry style, the sound designer here are used to be production mixer, now they getting older and want stay away from production,it's really hard labor on set in china, long working time and barely break time, they have family and want spend more time for the family. So usually they let their students or young guy on set, they do the post job,and now here, those hongkongness and taiwaness actors can't speak madarine very well, they have to dub vocie,ADR is more and more popular, those big budget films are using the best sound gears in the world, then in the post, they just dub all the actors' vocie.....
  5. this is the bag what i used for 788T,i added a divider in the middle the bag,so 788 can sit on it,the front bag is also big enough for 4 receiver,u can check out the pics http://www.trewaudio.com/store/product.php?productid=730&cat=30&page=3
  6. The delay is closer to 1.5ms total A/D-D/A: The latency from input to output on the recorders is sample rate dependent. Whether 16 or 24 bit, these numbers are identical. * @ 48 kHz - 1.47 ms * @ 96 kHz - 0.75 ms * @ 192 kHz - 0.23 m so for example,i record 24bit@48khz,i got a analog input and a digital input,i should give digital input add 1.5ms delay,am i right? scott thx a lot man
  7. thanks for everyone's answer.just had one more question.now lots of digital recorder provide a input delay time,so what's this for?is anybody could tell some examples let me know what's the situation we'll use that input delay time?
  8. thx old school,i'm still young, gonna be 24 in next March,i think i will see the day i expecting haha best wishes to you,too Cloud
  9. yeah, everybody needs a good sleep,12hours turnaround time to me is already seems like a wonderful dream,as i know so far,in my country, china, all the TV series production work at least 15or16 hours/day and 2or3 month without one day break. Like what i did last TV show,we were 55days shooting and everyday 16hours without one day break, sometimes we even shooting 24hours.....geez,and absolutely no time for home, all the crew live in a hotel together, that's really sounds crazy, isn't it? the market in china is messed up already, ppl always think if u won't do it,they can just find someone cheaper to do it.And actually they always can find someone would like to do it in a lower price.Very bad competition.Film market is a little bit better than making TV show here, but still not very good except some very big budget movies. Hope i can live long enough to see Chinese filmmaker let crew have a 12hours turnaround time.......
  10. so like what u said Scott,i got 4.5ms delay in the camera, shalll i send the INPUT's signal directly go to the 788T's output?is it better?what's your suggestion Scott? or i can just ignore this 4.5ms delay time thanks a lot man
  11. hi there everyone i just got my SD 788T and my frd got his red one camera,we will on set a film together. And i'm new to red, i have a few questiones about the Red's audio input.his camera is build 17,i've heard about red's line input level is so high, and actually it is,so i padded 788T's output level 12dB down, and the audio meters on the red seems like full green, not reach the yellow area,so i'm wondering how u guys send the signal to red's input. And we don't have a smart slate here, that's why i want to send a mix signal to red,but there still one thing i'm curious, can i send the 788T's Track's signal to 788'T's Output and then let this signal go to camera directly,is there any DELAY time from video and audio in the camera? thanks a lot Cloud
