  1. I had about 30-40 emails with Howy to identify one issue in the Maxx's transmitter. I sent my units back two times before and specially asked to fix it and no one has ever found that issue. Cory you can have a look yours: My Maxx's TX wouldn't work properly when external power is over 16.0V, as soon as the external power voltage drops under 16.0V,it starts to work fine and give a proper range. Other vise just as you described, it random drops off in a range less than one meter. What you described is very similar to what happened to me. Changed a new TX board did not fix the issue,I think something will be done on the Maxx's board. If you still have the unit you should run a test and report to Zaxcom or Howy so they can work on it.
  2. one of my qrx200 had that problem, you can either send the unit back in or ask them to send you a new board and install it by yourself.
  3. really wish that someone can modify the mono mix out connector into a digital stereo mix output connector
  4. the vision I had about a CRAZY future type of wireless is: the lavalier mic head self does not have any cable connect to the transmitter, it will be using some CODED or PAIRED tech to talk to the transmitter pre-programmed with it, which is always no longer 1 to 2 meters from lav's mic head, power free, much more easier to hide anywhere without a cable,no more cable noise and no more under tight Tshirt print, transmits the audio to the transmitter directly by 2.4G or some other frequency for short distance but with high quality, then via UHF again by body pack transmitter to further distance. I wish I could see this before I get retired.
  5. hi Charlie how can I enable/disable this +1frame read option on my TS-C? Just wondering. thanks Cloud
  6. If you can make couple magical whips(or something smaller size than lectro SNA600 to extend my QRX's range in bag, I'd love to buy some. I used to put the filter antenna for the TRX/STA on my shoulder strap all the time.
  7. you may want to bring something else to keep the zax TX dry all the time as well to protect it.
  8. of course the Maxx's tc COULD send REC/STOP command through timecode, that's exactly how timecode on deva works. There is no need for Maxx to remote gain/freq, as I always has QIFB unit in my bag. I only need it to engage the REC/STOP trigger, let the Maxx tell the QIFB when to start/stop. So i can always leave my QIFB/QRX on the main menu page to monitor the status ,in stead of always let it stay in the IFB menu to manually change between REC/STOP all the TXs.
  9. hi Howy I only want to see the Maxx could send REC/STOP to external IFB( IFB100/200,QIFB). It's been asked since the very beginning. And the use of the headphone knob to be a 5th fader, like what we do on the deva. Menu knob could be the trim for the 5th source or 6th fader. best Cloud
  10. Or maybe an old TRX900AA with STA100/150, use its tc connector to get an external code then set the TRX900AA's IFB to TX. Used price should be cheaper than an IFB200 now. Anyway you need a solid IFB TX source as the ERX units does not hold sync after power cycle or out of range for too long time.
  11. they look great, looking forward to get some. Will you make some pouches for zaxcom 742 plugon TX Dave ?? that would be really great if you do. something with a clip like this one, and still easy to get the battery/SD card out. And not push the unit inside too tightly because sometimes it may eject the card out accidentally.
  12. Brilliant.Looking forward to !
  13. there was one time I failed to jam the Epic by using the lemo 4pin connector. Then I realized that after years, one of my lemo 4 connector, after many many times plug in&out, the pin plate inside the connector is rotated,it plugged into the female on the camera, the pins were no longer proper connected as supposed. That could be one of the potential failure of jamming too.
  14. "flips the tc display when the slate is turned upside down." always wondering why no brand has done that ! congrats !
  15. I can see myself get one of this for pairing up with my Maxx, 7 faders plus one mix track on Maxx is perfect. For SRb5P and QRX these receivers has two pairs of output, one pair feeds ISO on Maxx and one pair feeds the mixer, great. Still in a compact size but with vertical faders that makes the mixing easier. congrats Mr. Meyer
  16. my ERX cable for epic is : 3.5mm( one erx side) TIP to BNC, sleeve to sleeve ( then BNC to lemo 4pin) RING to another 3.5mm's TIP, sleeve to sleeve(which goes into Epic), UNBALANCED audio on Epic.
  17. Got mine from Gotham Sound, been using one Scout cart on my last film as a follow cart. For flat land it's truly great, for mountain ? I still use my Rastorder fold up cart. i do love the idea that innovativcart can totally packed by itself. Those grips are superb.
  18. Thank you Dave Nick Diego. Sounds like the thing I'm looking for :-) will check it out soon. Best
  19. Thank you David. For a 152CCR, can I go with KBLT35? Best
  20. so that's about 132cm, David do you know this case could fit couple Ambient 4140 poles and another couple more shorter poles as well ? And can they survive in the rough condition as checking in luggage ?(hopefully ) best Cloud
