  1. What are to plugging the G3 into Pablo? For instance, plugging a G3 into the minijack connector on a RED will not work. You have to use a normal minijack to minijack lead. James
  2. From what I can gather, this is exactly the purpose of this connector. 8 pins for Ethernet data (Ravenna, Dante, AVB etc) plus 2 big pins for DC power up to 50v. Ravenna and Dante can pass control data over the same ip network as the audio.
  3. Yes, this would be great as a stagebox for my classical music work. I believe that you can DC power the Merging Horus/Hapi, but there is nothing of this size available. What would be really nice Richard, is if the AD8+ could be remotely powered, using that new 10pin Neutrik connector that you flagged up. Do we know yet what protocol sonosax are using for this? Dante/Ravenna perhaps? This would also open the possibility of using them without the SX-R4+ with a computer as an interface too. I think they would sell loads of those if the price is right.
  4. Maybe the Zeppelin was to stop the wind noise from the fan?
  5. Yes, Izotope RX 3 and RX4 batch process retains all the metadata I could throw at it. The vast majority of other batch software just strips it.
  6. So are you saying that at the moment Amira timecode can't be relied on even with a sync box, as it resets to system time at random? This would explain some problems I had recently, but I put it down to a mistake somewhere in the process. This only happened when I synced the Amira to my 664's clock, but not the other way round (although this was only two days, so difficult to diagnose conclusively) If the system clock has timecode level accuracy then that would give a workaround of jamming recorder to camera until a fix is issued, but only work with one camera.
