You hit me so I hit you , until when this senseless barbaric logic? This is the dark side of human strength.
We have very big problems to settle... What happens proves it. This is the game of our politicians, ours too!
It is global.
Between Climate problems and conflicts ... hard to be optimistic . And our children , how to make them believe in a "better" future ?
I am sad but solidarity with those who still hope that human beings can do better.

Günter Kortwich was a very very nice person. Generous and helping. Serious and full of humor.
He give me essential advice and some "kick" at my unsafe beginning in the filmsound business in Berlin 22 years ago. I am very grateful for that.
He was an appreciate set soundmixer from about mid of the 50' to the 90' , than Founder of the Kortwich Film-Ton-Technik in 1990, The Sound Adress in Berlin!. After giving his company into Dirk Oschmann hands, the actually and brilliant Owner, Günter retired in 2001.

100% using rechargeables since years and years, excellent rechargeables are today not a big deal.

Hello All,
Just back from two documentary Filmshooting in the Balkans and Myanmar made with the R4+.
I just want to say Thank you to Sonosax for this very very nice Machine.
Its the beginning, updates are coming, but its already a very promising sound Tool.
Precisely the Sound... so beautifull, also the Ergonomy/Fonctions/Weight/Size.
Like a Dream to work with.

SMDB/E01=SMDA but for EU Market, max. oP fixed at 50mW, no backlight, older models have fixed antenna.

Good news, Sonosax crew is hardly working to give us more outputs on the R4+
-
Smart to go with the green screen on the SX-R4- much easier than blue screen. Simple Sonosax mod.
I John, for me 50% reading improvement!
also possible on the minir82.

Nice bag - as an SXR4 user myself I'm interested in what you have wrapped around the gain knobs ? Do you have on off switches for the 4 mic amp inputs ?
lisala
Thanks Lisala, around the gain knobs it is simply some fluo gaffer tape, so i see the knobs better and the adherence touch feeling is nice! much better as on the naked sonosax hard plastic knobs.
No on off switches.
that's why i'm using the RX emergency one and two between the lectros receiver and sx-r4 line in.
With the R4+ this addition will be no more necessary...

KENTLY 1.5V
rechargeable Li-ion battery, anyone tryed testing using these new AA & AAA ?
up? or other AA li-ion batt experiences ?
for me no more disposable batteries since many years, the most expensive energy source and terribly polluting
something like Nespresso Caps...
+1 for iPowerUS 9v and eneloop AA.

Yop, Realy nice John, Jason too, it is possible to fold/remove it for travels ?
After i have seen yours i'm thinking about built a new one...
Mine is about 16 years old... a little bit time marked but still usable yet.
The idea is to work with the most flexible, light and small package as possible,
save the energy for the real work: sound recording. And enjoy it!
Cart: w46xd32xh120cm 6.kg
Box: w56xw36xh42cm 4kg.
Mounting time 10min.

Sweet!
Thank you Jeff !
This his realy a nice Thread.

Absolutely Herbert.
Rycote and Cinela have two different approach, Rycote is more universal as Cinela.
Cinela definitely more effective. That is my experience and implies only me of course.

I'm finding that much of the weight in these bags come from the metal connectors used on the cabling.
+1 XLR!

i like this challenge, creativityand diversity ! so nice!
all in one box, too risky for me in case of breakdown,
for that reason i prefer the modular systems and also
the possibility to add or remove some element in fonction of needs
and play with more and less.
weight and volume, yes a big question...
in 20 years i have gradualy lost around 9kg in my sound bag, a big change!
now we arrive close to the limits, i think...
I personaly always go with some back-up elements.
The idea to block the shooting process because of a
breakdown without replacement solution... a nightmare...

removing the basket from the Zephyx: 1min.here with the Schoeps WMS CCM MS Foambasket is diam.18cm, lenght. 25cm, not big.for me the best solution for ccm msnaturaly you can use it without boom,on a stand or with a handgrip as you like.I know some radio soundrecordist using the zephyxand other cinela windshield because of theacoustic transparencysince 4 years only happiness with the zephyxon docushave a look on the Cinela site.
