  1. I agree! The foam isn't good when moving. I would like to know about better solutions as well..
  2. Would this do? https://www.thomann.de/fi/sommer_the_goblin_sw_mikrofonkabel.htm
  3. You were lucky Richard! I had mine set to 24 as well, but still files were corrupted. I did really long (1 hour or more) test recordings though...
  4. Yep! 2.2 has been working perfectly without a single problem. After updating to the 2.3 I got corrupted files, so it was quite obvious that problem was with the firmware update. Now back to 2.2 and going strong!
  5. They are amazing, just bought 2 packages more!!
  6. I have also used Nomad for nature and SFX recordings, Neverclip is nice indeed. Works for recording car engines and calm forest ambiences as well.
  7. 37,80€ (ex. VAT) at least in Deherrieboerderij. http://www.setgearshop.nl/webshop/geluid/microfoon-accessoires/lavalier-accessoires/detail/795/hide-a-mic---zwart---kit-van-4.html
  8. That happened for me few times with Nomad, format the card with computer and you should be good to go! It's of course also possible that the card is actually broken, for me the formatting with computer worked.
  9. All that and pelican, isn't that still too heavy for carry-on? No blimp at all? This is really beautiful project Rado, I'm thinking about trying out similar bag design for Nomad+QRX100+Audioroot battery and distro.
  10. Thank you Chris, I appreciate!
  11. I highly recommend for field recording purposes! I wrote some first thoughts about these in my blog: http://soundreorganized.com/usi-microphones-small-and-awesome/
  12. Might be harmful, at least it won't sound nice. I don't know anyone using 4060 that close. 4061 or 4062 would be so much better.
  13. I also find myself using just the primary fabric most of the time, works really well! And when I really need strong wind protection I use the high wind fur. No need for third fur so far.
  14. Really nice! Great news! I was just thinking about the options for high quality hyprophones to buy this summer...
  15. My first DIY line return cable for Nomad. Hat of the screw as the bottom of shortened TA5.
  16. Oh yes, sorry, I misread. In Manual-pdf there was frequency response 50Hz-22kHz (48kHz) and in product site 20Hz-22kHz (38kHz). I read that they both were at 48 kHz. Even though I think it would be clearer to say that that frequency response is what it is with this kind of roll of starting there with this kind of slope... Nomad seems to be really a great choice also for this kind of work. Is there possibility to link multiple Nomads? Or Nomad and Maxx? Glenn, would it be possible that some day ZaxConverter could work natively on Linux as well?
  17. Thank you Glenn, I saw the plot, but it just confused me because in Nomad's manual it says that frequency response is 50Hz-22kHz.
