  1. those runtimes are not too bad , but so many others have stated the opposite in regards to the single battery Tx that I'm shying away from them.
  2. So , just to be clear, which RF power setting were you on (even though I know its been said "theres an attenuator on the RF output, so the battery drain is the same" Im curious
  3. 2 lavs and a boom , with 1 lock it and slate - was the standard around 750/day +but this year have started to not include the first lockit and charge a la carte per camera inflation is crushing us, keeping gear rates the same they were in 2010 is not gonna cut it
  4. Might be fun to try but I dont think Ill get much use out of a dish in the long run. I want to keep it on the boom pole, without a huge blimp ... i found this INV-BH ($115) mount which I want to give a try, but realizing reading the specs tthat it maxes out at 500g ? and from my calculations the mic and the rycote 29cm softie together would weigh over 600g so Im wondering how compliant the lyres gonna be , I see its grey colored in this photo, which I beleive is the heavier duty version. I could be wrong though I dont know., just pulling weight stats off of B&H website.
  5. Jon, I see your post here about the long shotguns, and that you have a lot of experience with them. I've been using a Rycote INV 7 HG MkIII mount for medium and short shotguns, but today I was using the mkh70 with a rycote softie that I just acquired and was realizing that I need a heavier duty mount than what Im using on the others, I could get by with it , but not ideal. besides getting an entire zeppelin setup , just being out on a football field I want to use the mkh70 with a rycote softie to keep weight down, which mounts would you recommend? I cant seem to find anything heavier in the invision line, or the cinela line for longer shoguns... I really dont want to have to get a zeppelin for this thing ....yet. Thx-
  6. I had a question regarding the DPR-A . By now we are all used to the HM style Plug-on transmitter (which i believe uses the XLR cable connected to it as an antenna) but with the DPR-A which has a whip antenna connector , is it mandatory to use a whip antenna while operating the DPR-A for it to work correctly , or is it optional for achieving extended range and RF ? in otherwords, will the DPR-A work just like a DPR or HM without an antenna ? Thank you
  7. been using the mozegear tig 28 for a year and half , and its a great product... but Ive Been on about 4 or 5 different shoots with ALEXA MINI BODY cam, and I've been getting TC error, camera doesn't take the jam ("TC" turns ORANGE)... this only happens to me with the ALEXA MINI . I end up having to jam form the denecke slate and keeping my eye on it all day, rejamming every so often. Anyone else out there having this issue? This has been on a bunch of different shoots, as I see more of these MINIs out there.. The TIG works great with every other camera I've used it with though.. alexa, amira, sony, red, etc... just the mini body ....weird.
