  1. I just read somewhere you got to disable the Remote function in the tx menu... looks like they spotted the issue and I assume they're working on it (?)
  2. All this operation probably having been financed through… the promotional/publicity budget from day one. 😆
  3. Is it just me ? I've seen LOTS of these for the last 2 years or so. Maybe DPA has some serious QR to take care of ?
  4. WIngman on Android 9 constantly crashes (Samsung Note 9), even with v5.01 update on MP10-II...

    New SD 833

drpro; concerning the outputs on the Sonosax, you can order it with this optional card also, which would give you 4 outs (unroll the menu on the right) : 🙂 https://www.sonosax.ch/product/sx-r4p/
  6. I got three of these if ever interested: https://www.point-sourceaudio.com/products/microphones/earmount/ Never used; I mounted those on subjects for a show and the director was worried about the mics being seen so I had to cancel using them (yep, after having a talk with pictures etc about the mics). They're mounted for Lectro WMs though, but could be easily modified here to TA5 connectors or else if wished for… I had to go ''full waterproof'' with that show so the mics are built to make it.

    HHB Dat

I don't know if DAT blank tapes are as easy to find as it used to be, but I might have some of them tossed somewhere in a box from those ''PD4 years'' if ever you needed a few of them… 😉
  8. mmm… not sure you have access to limiters if set up for 32bit... I'd have to read that part of the manual again... One thing's for sure: we have discussions with post production ahead of us for at least a few months, if not more. These people, sometimes, when they have an established workdlow, are hard to get into a new way to work things out.
  9. yeah, you're right. I simply meant: with Mozegear you got an ''audio passthrough'' that allows you to plug a receiver on the unit, Tentacle use an onboard mic.
  10. Got Tentacles (Kickstarter edition ) , Mozegear ans USOne. When I only had Tentacles and Mozegear, I ended up using Mozegear most of the times because time saved when having to switch frame rates; a screwdriver and that's it. Sometimes I'd use both of them. I didn't necessarily awalys have my cable for phone at hand to be able to change settings on the Tentacles and anyway, the screwdriver method with Mozegear was faster overall. But I'd say if you have either of the brands, you'll be a happy camper. Oh, I rigged the Mozegear along with G2s to get audio on one track and TC on another with 5Ds and A7s too; just made the cables to do it and it worked great. With Tentacles, the option is limited to the onboard mic on the Tentacle instead of a mix on a receiver mounted to the cam. At some point, I wanted to be able to actually see my TC on the unit, and wanted to sync wirelessly. A promotion appeared just at the right time for 3 USOnes as a package. Bingo, got them and happy since. I added the Blue unit a few months later to be able to sync a bunch of gopros and A7s too with the Slate app. When we had C300s most of the times on sets here, I was able to have a peek from time to time on the rear display if the dop was rolling. Nowadays, the FS7 replaced the C300 on sets, that's what made me want a box I could see the TC onto.
  11. Maybe a new Topic about ''gain structure with 32pf recording'' would be appropriate, because the more I read about it, the more I'm trying to figure out how I'm gonna set the whole thing according to all that nice theory. For sure, I'll keep my Lectro rxs to max levels from this previous info just over here… but what about a phantom powered mic ? ISOs vs Mix tracks levels ? will it ''appear'' the same way on my meters ? Will I use the same scales/usual wokflow ?
  12. SO, another possibly dumb question: how would I ride my tracks using 32bf ? I mean the gain on ISO tracks vs, say, L & R tracks according to what I see on the meters ? I don't get how it will all ''behave'', especially usual visual references I use for my gain structure..? I think I got the theory not too bad, but it's to translate that into my day-to-day workflow in relation to the machine I'm having difficulty to figure out.
  13. Are the Cue Marks appearing into sound reports (and Wave Agent of course) ?
  14. … at 13:14 about the TC menu in Bluetooth mode… a hint: Timecode Systems. Ditch the box ! 😉
  15. According to the ''how to'' for the dipole, is the gauge of the coax affecting the performance in the end ?
  16. ...and if we add "extreme wind protection" to the equation, any of you dear people here had the opportunity to compare several models ?

    scorpio!

They will, they're already on it. I can't find the link but I saw it this morning. It even got a name that fits …

    scorpio!

Does that mean new quad compact receivers with Dante out ?
  19. ''The primary output carries timecode and genlock/wordclock. This gives you the freedom to choose running it either on straight, Y-split cable or 2 separate leads using the second connector for timecode which also connects to devices that support ACN for metadata transfer. '' Mmmm, I'm not sure I'm totally following; does it mean that it can control, say, a 788 via ACN using the app ?
  20. ''The SD boxes, from 6xx on, are very cool (have had 2), but as an oldster I do wish that the 7xx series had continued. And the recording situation described above is where that design really shines. It could well be that an updated 788 would have to sell for too high a price to be competitive in the world of the F8 etc. But I wish they'd try.... '' You tell me ! the machine's probably too ''old'' to even think about just a newer version of the CL-8 with Bluetooth for app and new features in general to give the 788 a new life… that's a shame ☹️
  21. Since it's sunny here and getting warmer, a little piece of canajun rock'n'roll
  22. There's a few discussions here on this website concerning that. SD, Zoom… and I even ran into a wall with my car's memory cards that need to be ''old'' to work and formatted in fat32 only… but that 2012 car is another story... anyway anyhow, like you said, as I'm looking for a 32Go card it happens to be relatively cheap so worst comes to worst I'll be buying one or two and run a test
