@Matthias Richtergreat to know that! Im just about to buy one. But ate same time living in Brazil is always incredibly hard for this kind of dynamics. Its truly expensive and take ages to send anything out of the country and receiving it back. Sometimes the price of doing all this is just like buying a new one. Any kind of gear - sound-wise speaking - its between 2 to 4 times the real price of anything in world due our import and customs taxes. So, maybe not buying a Panamic soon.

But, can I ask something more ? ..Do you think that this issue is related to specific model Line or maybe just a specific model.. or it could happen with all of them ?

@Matthias Richterhow Canford solved it ? Im just about to buy my first panamic and the firts thing I found here was this thread. Got worried about it.

Haven't found almost none user experiences with this model. Is there a why ? Why is not so used as UHF version? I saw many complaints on this thread's first comments related to the output power and even @LarryF wrote that "Range is not quite as good as UHF"... so now Im intrigued.

If the law of physics states that "power density is proportional to the inverse square of the distance".... wouldn't 250mW in 470MHz  and 50mW around 200MHz behaves almost the same ? What am I missing ?

As far as I know all Evolution Series are cross-compatible. For a portable Tx probably the SK2000 is what you're looking for if you need I higher transmission power.

Is anyone still using older optix models like the series 1 or 2 ? Im really interested to talk about.

Anyone had new and innovative ideas for a relatively practical and comfortable bag for the Mini ?

About Protogear bags.. i find them really cool but they are mainly constructed with the receivers between the operator and the recorder. Considering bag-work and counting with all that awkward front surface with the headphone output, I feel that this arrangement makes it harder to manipulate the faders and see the display. 

And what do you guys think about the use of hydra making Mini's bags even more compact and almost turning the visualisation of the receivers unnecessary ?

Matthias, Just finished the 2nd season tonight. Can you talk about how was this work made? The equipment you've used, the size of you crew, how were the locations, the relation with post, and maybe talk about what has changed from season 1 to 2 and 3 in relation of your work ?! I think it would be very interesting to have this info here. Cheers

I've just upgraded a TRX900LA (S/N: 3796) to newest firmware (v9.86). Since then the Tx is working like the threshold is very very low no matter if I changed it even to zero. And I've changed multiple times all the Dynamics parameters to try to solve this, but I just cannot fix it. Does someone have an Idea of what can be wrong ?

attack: normal

cmp ratio: 4:1

cmp thresh: -4dB

cmp knee: 2dB

exp ratio: 1:1

exp thresh: -70dB

reduce -2dB

gain: 0

3D printers usually makes hard-"heavy"-material products, isn't it? I was wondering if there's somethiing made with some very light and flexible material.

@karlw .. are you saying that a shrink tube encapsulating the antenna can help to prevent RF losses even if its touching the talent's skin ? Cool, never thought that such a thin amount of plastic could do some real difference.
