  1. One of my all time favorite movies. Ruth Gordon rules!
  2. I have used Lectrosonics block 26 and 28(now illegal to use) in Brooklyn area. Wouldn't recommend block 22 or 21. They are getting very crowded in NY area.
  3. Very Nice Job on the video. The comments about the 5D are my favorite part.
  4. I am late to the Party, just wanted to say Awesome Job Pascal! Makes all of us think about our own systems and how we would like to improve how we work every day.
  5. I had a conversation with Jerry C. from Jaycee Communications Inc./ Lectrorepair.com in Queens, NY. I asked about right angle antennas on my 411A wireless. He told me that the straight antennas are better and that the angled ones have about 20% loss in range and signal. I am going to trust his thoughts on this as He knows WAY more about wireless than me.
  6. What everyone else said. I have shot on cooking shows, cooking competitions, cooking features with non professionals. Always have everyone Lav'd up and iso recorded. Chefs coats are usually very very thick and hiding a mic is problematic. Having a bunch of white lavs is a great help. Good luck with your job.
  7. I use the PortaBrace one. It is a little long but it works for me.

Would Like to get 2 MKH50s and one more Schoeps CMC6/MK41.
  9. I got one of these Petrol bags and definitely prefer it to the one Portabrace makes. It is just like the 614 only bigger and it has more room for the extra things we all need on the job for Lav placement. I have been using on a number of jobs and it is a well made bag.
  10. Hey Jim, Adorama was one of the sellers and said they had the UDMA6 but sent me the UDMA7 cards. Sucks for me. Just ordered a few Delkins...very good prices on them. Thanks for the reply I Love this forum and how easy it is to get answers about gear. Cheers, TJ
  11. I ordered the approved SanDisk UDMA 6 CF Cards and received the UDMA 7 CF Cards. Very frustrating. Bought through Amazon from 2 different sellers.
  12. I guess I am an optimist, My nice new 664 is on it's way. What a shame if I never get to use it?

  15. I was glad i got to go and see this myself. Thanks to Jon for his time and effort and looking forward to getting my hands on one soon. Thanks also to everyone at Gotham for putting this event on. Great job.
  16. How about one of those Accept no subs t-shirts?
  17. Here is a shot of something I saw at Yankee Stadium recently. No mixer, no headphones and a very interesting boom pole.

  20. Jerry has repaired all of my Lectros. Always has them working like new and updated to latest firmware when I pick them up. I am just lucky that I live close enough to pick them up from him. Highly recommend his work.
  21. That is great news that I have ben waiting for. Thanks for letting us know.
  22. Worked with 2 of these last week and treated it just like a 5D shoot. Beautiful images for sure. I am never too keen on 1/8th" audio inputs as primary recorder> Just did double system and all good.
  23. If you are closer to NY area then New Mexico I would recommend talking to Jerry at Jaycee Communications. 718-428-7818. www.lectrorepair.com I have had Jerry work on many of my Lectros and he does a great job. Good Luck.
  24. I have only been to Seoul once and i had a carnet. They looked pretty carefully at most of my items. The camera guys I travelled with didn't get the same treatment. I would definitely have a Carnet for my gear in any country that recognizes them. Why test your luck with a foreign country. I want to have no hassles coming or going.
