  1. Hey guys, We have been sending out Blk-27,28 even 29. and have no issues so far- so far. Grapa- "they" say in L.A. that blk 20 is the new 28. I am sure you know were to find a vendor who has the new blks in there rental dept. you might want to demo the lower freq Bl's to give them a trial run before you make your blk 28 switch. try them all , even 470. Gd Luck.
  2. Saw Barry Bonds and his family eating breakfast at my local joint (Jinky's) a few weeks ago. btw- he seemed so pissed and antsy that all the patrons were loking at him and his oversized steroid looking head. and saw his Father last month at handy j car wash in the morn'n and that night saw him courtside at the lakers game (against denver) later.
  3. Rob, Dont really know if they have a UK Distro. they seem like a little outfit. the gentleman I deal with is a wardrobe consultant. but you can go to there website and email them a request. good luck.
  4. MM, C'mon over. it would be nice to see you again. hope all is well.
  5. that was great crew, the mic dropping into frame. steve allen was pretty witty, and Frank Z.telling is story about his movie score on the "worts movie ever made" wow what a young looking dude.
  6. jw, that makes 2 of us. just dont get that. RIP
  7. ya, its a bummer. the internet stories are reporting a situation were he was found in his closet hung nude, and how to put this respectfully- pleasuring while suffocating. forgot the term that is used.
  8. hey guys, Borg- thanks for the "shout out" MM- the dots and 2 other products will be on the site soon. they make a very nice top stick (50-strips) Studio- a hypo allergenic version of the dots?, they are available and in stock. sound mixers seem to like them. and as Borg357 said, they use them in conjunction with the rycote products. thanks.
  9. I saw Wilt the stilt Chamberlin at Whole foods in Sherman Oaks, pushing a shopping cart barefoot. it looked like one of those play carts that your kid might have. Also, saw MR.T. at Ralphs on thanksgiving morning. he was the next person behind me and putting his items on the conveyor belt. I could not help but notice. only many rolls of generic paper towels and instant photo cameras (like 10) I could only imagine? last- saw Shaq at the sherman oaks mall (when he was last with the lakers) apparently he was going to the cheesecake factory. because when I got out of the movie, he was sitting at the outside dining area with what looked like nearly 100 people, gawkers and the like surrounding the glass wall.
  10. senator-funny stuff. I got the falcon dust off monitor wipes from office depot/staples. good for laptops, tv's, and yes coffee or pee on your computer screen. they come in 2pks, like the clorox disenfecting wipes. sippy cups, probably gerber? but you are probably a bit advanced. try a travel cup with a flip up lid. later,
  11. turn off yr computer and use monitor wipes (dust off makes them). my screens get the nastiest finger smudges - (no not from me) you could use them for your 52'' lcd tv sceen as well senator. damn man your always spilling shit. you need a sippy cup or maybe a lid of some sort.
  12. RVD, Those units are still out there. 360 systems makes them. 1-unit has a "jog wheel" were you can edit your effets or playback on the fly. and the other is the style with 50-hot keys-door bell, door knock, and yes crowd laughter. ps- I still have this Halloween flashlight for my daughters, that has 6 hot keys- witch cackle, ghost moans, and my favorite the werewolf howl. later-hope all is well.
  13. Bob, Nice job. if you guys ever get a request for a wireless earpiece (phonak earwig) you can use a Motorola CP200, come out of the tx on the walkie with a mono mini, then into a M-216. (The director or field producer can walk around freely and not be "stationed" next to the BST-216) Gd luck.
  14. vin, he also has the other movie out this week -Angels & Demons. (sorry Pete, could not resist)

    1818

hey guys, just a reminder. today you have to dial 1-818- then the phone number. ( even if you are in the 818) have to re-set my contacts #'s wah-wah
  16. JW, Happy B-Day. "huff huff" you the forum (man)
  17. and you can use the hawkwoods to power up your recorder. my buddy does it on a show right now with his Cantar. when the lith batts are charging, they just adapt directly into were the cantar batt would be. it has been according to him " a life saver" (props- to Mike Paul for your consulting on this matter with me) wish I was going to NAB this year, so we can do the craps 2,4,6,8 chant. hehe later
  18. JW, We are even getting production to purchase Lacie 250g hard drives as a "expendable" item
  19. JW, On your next feautre, try to put the Ipower 9v re-chargables down with your expendables list. I have supplied many reality shows, (they tend ro order 1500 9v liths at a time) so when they order 20-Ipower re-chargables, the math comes out in prods favor and the sound mixers. and just recently 2 tv shows. produsuction really want to go "green" and if you do the math, they come out in the end. and typically-the mixer ends up with the batts anyway. try next time, it is listed on our company expendables form. Gd Luck, Frank
  20. you might have a chance man. yr going up against the kid from the high school musical movies (zac efron) 17 AGAIN. But, that movie and its demographics will be good for you. the 2 directors are fck'n great, must have been crazy and fun all at the same time. look out crank 4.
  21. the Rode NTG -1 is the smaller of the rode mics and is 48v. and is perfect for that particular application. so when he widens out for his master , he won't get the end of the softie.
  22. I love it. the 1st AD breaks up the interview. ps- saw you hanging out in bg camera right.
  23. if there crunching numbers and just trying to get "a competitive bid" (sounds like it here) have them go to one of the sites mentioned. and go to there rental page, and click on Production sound package. that should help production and most importantly, the sound mixer who eventualy does the gig, help him or her negotiate a fair rate. ps- dont forget your ifb's or comteks,tc slate or sound cart, or backup recorder, or - go to the production sound packages. you will see what I am talking about. Gd Luck, Frank
  24. I think you need to take a hit. or something.
