It will most likely live as a prop in my office. Malcom is probably correct. speaking of dumpsters, I also noticed this highly abused VDB pole that was also laying around to be disposed of and asked if I could have it. It is really rough and has been repaired unsuccessfully. I just hate to see such a quality item fall into disrepair. I am wondering if I should put it out of its misery. it has a hole in the number 3 extension. Would it be worth sending in for repair?

I was helping a friend haul things to the dumpster today and found this on the stack. I thought it was interesting. Very thick foam along the inside. It weighs a lot.

I just finished a reality shoot with 5 women non professional 3 were teens and they had issues putting/taping mics between their breasts. I tried to let them do it theirselves with limited luck. I am using Sanken lavs with hush foam and they work great if in the right place. I was thinking about something that would clip to the bra strap, I see some options. What works? I ended up getting the Sony's and haven't used them yet. I was preparing some cables for input and output and wanted to verify what I found with the two cables they sent me. The tip of the stereo connector is 2 the center part of the connector is 3 the upper sleeve is ground The cable they sent me had the red cable on pin3 and the black on pin 2, that was kind of confusing.

I have an older piece of cable that I would like to turn into an extension with the neutric sc connectors. It looks like you put them together from different parts. Has any one done this? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I am leaning towards the Sony solution. 1200 from B&H. I seem to work with either the Red or Sony cameras any more. This would work with many of the Ronin type rigs with an A7 camera.

Thanks, Derek. That is good advice. I think I will head that way. What do you think of the Sony urx dual reciever? it can be had for around 1200 dollars with two transmitters.

That pretty much describes my needs. My old lectros work great but they are big and heavy.

I am interested in upgrading my camera link. Currently, I am using a couple of Lectro 195's in the low 590 range, they have been working great for over two decades. They are just too big for most to use now. I was looking at the Zaxcom QRX235. Is there anything that is smaller?

two questions. I had a boom op that was helping me pack and took all the antennas off my transmitters and mixed them up. I had not color coded them. I have two in the 500 range and two in the 600's. I thought if I had a chart I could get them back on the right transmitters. I wanted to check the receivers too.

I have a couple of MKE 2's reds I use for screaming or any loud scenes. I have had fair success using HUSH lav foam. They are a little hard to get over the mic but have worked well for me. I have one MKE 2 gold that sounds good when not hidden. I think they have a cheaper version that is marked with a black plastic sleve on the cable.

I have been storing it with the mic tilted up and it drops more by the end of the day. I am using that mic much less these days after getting an MKH 50 anyhow. I will just let it do its thing.
