  1. I have a tentacle 3.5mm to right angle 5 pin lemo. Works great!
  2. I was asked “Did you put a low cut filter on the comtek?” about an hour ago by an agency person listening with iPod earbuds.
  3. The battery doesn't really lock with the Remote Audio cup. I never had the battery slip out but I worried about it all the time. The Audio Root cup locks securely. I got my cup unterminated and put on a TA4 myself. Ground to 1 and 4, Hot to 2, 3 not connected.
  4. I use an Audioroot cup (which I prefer to the Remote Audio one) with my Remote BDS without issue. IIRC the wiring on the TA4 was a little different. I can check later. And I get about 6 1/2 - 7 hours on a 49 watt with my 633, 2 Lectro SRCs, 2 LT hops and my iPhone charging.
  5. That was the oddness! Hope it really is fixed.
  6. I’ve used that exact same (without the 1/4in adapter, just a regular 5pin lemo to 1/4in) setup with success many times. Although I have experienced some TC oddness with the mini so do a workflow test if you can.
  7. It outputs line level or an adjustable headphone level so it’s plenty hot enough to feed a camera. You might even want to pad the cable if you’re going into a mic input.
  8. I saw him in the flesh on Saturday! He’s taller than I pictured.
  9. Peshawar and David, thank you so much for sharing your experiences. Seems like the sound is exactly what I’m looking for. That’s a shame about the limiters and build quality though. I thought I remember reading you could set the limiter threshold when you order it?
  10. My bad Constantin. I didn't see the quote above it.
  11. As a preamp that goes into the 688 for when I have a cabled boom. I think my 688 preamps sound great, but there’s something about the sound of the pres in all of the sonosax mixers I’ve used that I just love.
  12. I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience with the mixer. I’m a big fan of Sonosax pres but would love to keep my 688/CL12 setup (also, I can’t afford a big Sonosax mixer). I was thinking of this as a front end to my 688 and to put in a bag for smaller jobs.
  13. Can I have your CMIT if you blow up in the process?
  14. What TC mode do you have set on the 633? Is the frame rate one the slate the same on both devices?
  15. Hey everyone, I've been shooting in the desert for the past few days and one of my fader knobs on my 633 is really stiff. It feels like sand/dirt/other desert crap is stuck under there. Does anyone know how to remove the fader from the front panel? I see there is a tiny hole on the bottom but don't know how or if it is used to remove the knob. Thanks!
  16. I use them with my block 19 and 20 receivers just fine. I think they cover 100mhz from the center frequency.
  17. Pete just fixed my 816 and I couldn't be happier. Very nice and very talented guy.
  18. Just got my 816 back from Pete Verrando with the issue SOLVED! I guess a few things in on the board needed to be re soldered. Can't say enough good things about that guy! You should definitely hit him up if your 816 needs some looking at.
  19. I love my two LTs. Battery life is a little less than an SMQV but it's still usually gets me to lunch. Love that it's wideband, Find the menu easy to navigate quickly. Sometimes size is an issue on tight fitting wardrobe, but other than that I'm pretty happy with them.
  20. I hear you! I'm burned to a crisp and going to smell like dead fish for weeks. Crew, I've passed the message along to him!
  21. Took this at the Salton Sea this morning. Boom Op: Matthew Daugherty.
  22. Thanks for the responses everyone. Mark at Location Sound is pretty confident that it's the capsule, but maybe a second opinion isn't a bad idea. Especially since the price of a new capsule is twice the price I paid for my 816 used. I'll give Pete a call.
