    Turntables

Obviously, this doesn't pertain to production sound but I figured there could be a conversation here about turntables since real audiophiles (pros) live here. I'd hate to open up the box to all receivers, peripherals and A/V. I really just need some tech info on a particular product and figured this was the best place to look. So, please take this down if I've trampled a FAQ. I have a vintage Pioneer PL-570. Pioneer marketed 2 versions of this turntable and I have the first. They are very different. I'm looking for someone who has some maintenance experience with this model. And since I'm at it, let's open this up to all conversations turntable. IMG_3078.HEIC
  2. How's the power draw in the bag? Guessing it's on a separate batt than the 633. What batts are you using and what kind of time are you getting out of it? Also, can you turn off unused channels and if so does it affect the power draw? TIA
  3. Got it! Thanks, Johnny. Much appreciated.
  4. Apologies if this has been answered before, I couldn't find anything on it. What is the difference between tx battery meter modes LB and LBT on the Lectro SRC? The manual uses the exact same language for both but there's gotta be a difference, right? Using an SSM with LB-50 batts obviously. Thanks, Sam
  5. I'm sure you guys have seen this, too. Adobe's Project Voco http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-37899902
  6. Right. I guess I'm more concerned with the frequency deviation muddying up the air but it looks pretty tight (40kHz) Probably thinking a little too much into it. Thanks!
  7. The company I'm currently working with is considering buying a Telex BTR-800 system which operates between 470-600Mhz. It's a fairly small sound stage and I'm wondering if anyone has had any significant interference problems with these systems using Blocks 19-21 for their wireless. TIA, Sam.
  8. I work with these cams daily. I put some lockit boxes on them and re-jam after lunch, never had a problem. They do drift a bit without a lockit.. especially after batt swaps. Anytime the cam powers down re-jam it.
