  1. I will try to find a source tonight after work. This collaboration happened in the 60s I believe. This was not an employer/ employee relationship, more of a collaboration of engineers with similar interests. OK, I can't find any references to Kudelski and Beauviala. Must have been something I heard or read without verification. I will delete the original post.
  2. Wow! Sounds like troll talk. I haven’t read such vitriolic nonsense for a long time.
  3. I would think. yes, but they are solid and not as handy for exterior use as the usual suspects LPDAs which are a bit open and less susceptible to wind shear. Also Why? 2 are probably more expensive than 2 regular shark fins...
  4. AFAIK, You can change polarity on input, or in the receiver (with Lectro anyways).
  5. Thanks, Karl, i'll check it out. Some of their frequencies do have 4 more digits after the 453 etc etc. but that's good to know. Best, Jim
  6. I have a list of the walkie frequencies used on set graciously provided by our Production Coordinator . I would like to find a way in Freq Finder or TX Advance to enter these as potential Intermod creators. Is there a way to do this or is this just a pipe dream? Or do I need to take a serious math course? Best regards, Jim Rillie PSM
  7. Yes, he does out of the goodness of his heart. haha He says it's easy to setup.
  8. On reasonable budget series I work on lately I send a Comtek signal on an Option 7 PR216 to the Qtake operator, and get an SDI single cable with however many cameras are being used on it already split screen for my 19 inch feel world monitor. Fortunately for me, the feed I get is not the take signal, just a composite of the video feeds used in the QTAKE input, so the latency is mostly from the Teradecks on cameras. I bought a Decimator when I got the bigger monitor, but never had to use it. But of course I don't use video on every setup, only when it is convenient and lots of sources to check on. Different strokes for different folks.
  9. Step 1 on the gain structure ladder. Nicely done. Patrick. I was a bit too abrupt. apologies to Jurjen.
  10. You need to figure out gain structure. Sound recording 101. Im sure you will find some info on this on the web.
  11. Thanks again, Johnny The two fingers thing did it. Now installed Best, Jim
  12. Thanks Johnny, Have tried that but that right click plus control click bites me. ( I have come to believe that control click is equivalent to right click . )Those instructions ask for both at the same time… Maybe I should borrow a mouse or something. haha. Or maybe Wave agent isn’t up to date. Or I missed something , or the old wise man’s saying “Don’t upgrade your Mac until much later.” best jim
  13. Hi all, I have been trying to install Wave Agent on my Mac with the following results: This package is incompatible with this version of macOS. Has anyone encountered this, and is there a workaround or a newer version available somewhere? What comes up to install from Sound Devices seems to be dated 2014, which of course is long before the advent of Apple silicon chips. The reason I would like to have Wave agent working is to split poly files into their mono components for simpler uploading. Best regards, Jim Rillie Production Sound Mixer
  14. Thanks, got it. Slow and Quick haha. And Thanks, OB1. That is reassuring.
  15. How does the Stream Deck help you? Is this with a Cantar? Maybe a tablet holder on a mini arm might hold the unit. How big is it?
  16. Sorry, but what is S&Q. Not being a camera savvy person, I am not familiar with this term. Have worked with Sony Venice no issues regarding TC, but working soon with a FX9. My instincts would be to look for External Tc in, and Regen and connect a JB-1 or Tentacle Sync E to the TC in BNC. Of course with matching frame rate settings.
  17. Sorry, info further down. I should have looked before asking.
  18. Oh yeah. The 642 had a huge heavy magnet.Hand held was the way I used it back in mid seventies..
  19. over the years with ArriAlexa variants, Regen has always worked for us. This is the way ;-}
  20. maybe adjusting the knuckles will help... Also thorough cleaning.
  21. We have been using both the CMIT and CMIT mini for several years and have never noticed that. In fact, no noticeable difference at all.
  22. I have had this happen as well. Only once in a 90 day season. It was at the end of day, and removing and re inserting the battery worked, and I got to see what to do when it’s battery replacement time.
  23. I like the CUT 60 on MK141. matches closer to the CMIT with its permanent 70 Hz cut off. I was always noticing more rumble when we switched to the 141. much closer in tone now. That's my 2 cents. We had couple of CUT 1s many years ago. Just weren't using them, so they were sold.
