  1. Great to know Bernie. What's kind of cool is the questions I had asked prior to getting the spec sheet were all answered by the spec sheet. I can't wait to get started. I hope you do get a show in the Bay area. Pete is a great guy!! Take care. Nicole
  2. Just so you know I got booked for the job and I found out you are the Audio Supervisor. Thanks so much. Look forward to it. Thanks Nicole
  3. I can vouch for him as well. I did the show in Atlanta. He is a great guy to work with and he pays really quick. When I did the show it was a total of 5 people mixed to camera and I also recorded backup ISO tracks in case they wanted to later edit the project. He was happy and I had a great time. Glad you are helping him out Pete. Nicole
  4. Instead of starting new thread I will post here. Anyone using/used the Energizer Rechargeable 9V battery? Want to go the rechargeable battery route and was curious. If not seems everyone does give the ipower 9V a thumbs up. Thanks Nicole
  5. Did you get someone to fill the Athens, GA position? I am local and available. Resume/gear list emailed. Thanks Nicole ccproductions803@gmail.com
  6. I was watching House Party the other day and when the dad leaves Kid's room and he is wearing the white wife beater and khaki pants you can see the receiver pack that was suppose to be hidden in his pants. Its the clip and its bulky. Never noticed along time ago but did the other day. Nicole
  7. Glad this came up. Do you guys own a down converter? I have been having issues with getting video to my Remote Audio Assist Monitor. Looks like I do have to have the down converter. We are working with a RED Camera and I was trying to get a feed off of Video Village. Any information would be great. Thanks Nicole
  8. Nothing for Droid? Aww that sucks but this does look pretty interesting and at a great price. Nicole
  9. Advertising can't hurt you only help you in my book. I'm in Atlanta were its very competitive but its not a lot of great sound people with equipment. I don't have as much experience as most on here but I get a ton of high paying gigs and clients. I do have a website and advertise on Mandy which to this day has gotten me about 3 jobs so far(they contacted me from there). Most comes from me applying or word of mouth. I spoke with you already earlier this week and If something comes up I don't mind sending people your way. I'm not stingy or bitchy about the situation first off I would contact you personally to make sure you were interested and then make sure you felt comfortable doing it. I would never want to put anyone in a situation they couldn't handle. Also as far as Savannah goes I have been offered gigs from there this year and last year but turned them down due to me being booked already. This were great paying gigs so trust me you can get work from there. I'll be sure to pass your name to some great clients there and here(Atlanta, GA). Side Note: Whitney I don't know you personally but you tend to knock a lot of people Including me. Its like you want to down rate for some reason. I don't sweat it I over look it because I'm growing as an individual(mixer) and it takes time/patience. There are quiet a few people I know personally that could crush you on a level of mixing but I would never down rate you and say your experience lacks or this or that...I have even referenced you for gigs(not sure if they ever called). But people do know you and some shake their head no when I reference you or say uh naw and then some say sure I'll check him out. Long story short let's be a team and win this race together. Nicole
  10. I generally take a breather, talk with other crew, or surf the net. I'll even sometimes catch up on emails, texts, and missed calls. Nicole
  11. Very cool Dana. I need to come over and check it out. Make another one for me. I can buy it today or tomorrow. I could use one for sure man. I wish I had this knowledge but thats what you're for. My cable guy. Dana is great at cable work. Thanks Nicole
  12. This maybe stating the obvious but have you tried contact PSC and asking them? (661) 295-9395 Nicole
  13. Very cool. That would be a nice gadget to have. I'm guessing its used for playback of audio on takes and stuff. Or do you use it for something else? Nicole
  14. I can carry it with no problem. Females have strength to now especially if you are use to doing this on a daily. Your body becomes accustomed to it. I have carried bags this heavy and lighter. No biggie to me. I love what I do. Nicole
  15. Thanks for the video. I have had to do this on both of my boom poles. Nicole
  16. No problem. This site is here to help. Good luck. Nicole
  17. Might want to take a look around the pictures section at carts already built and do a search. I'm pretty sure it may help. Not bashing just a suggestion. Nicole
  18. Yeah love how it converts to mobile use. Great and easy to use.
  19. Yeah others said his attitude was bad also. But I expect that from most people in the camera department. They always think its all about them. Nicole
  20. I made quite a few mistakes. But the two most ones that really hit me kind of hard are below. #1-I plugged the cord in the wrong spot on the camera sync box for the cameras(two) so for almost 6 hours straight there was no time code being sent to camera. (thank God the Scripty noticed that.) I was really upset and I told the mixer he could fire me or do whatever I thought I had put it in the spot he told me to(never done it before). Before doing it I had asked the Camera AC who replied saying you are sound you should know. I don't know where it goes and walked off. I asked my Boom operator where and he said he didn't know. After wrap he then manned up and said he knew and should have checked when I asked. The mixer also said he should have checked to and not assumed. The first thing I did was tell him to call or let me call post and let them know what was going on. The end results where post was not mad but was happy we at least had great notes/details to send over. Whew I was shaking literally. #2-Working an ENG shoot with 1 wireless and 1 boom and sending wireless hop to camera. Well I forgot to setup my backup recorder(in a rush bc of camera guy) and one of the great scenes where audio was somewhat important well guess what it never was recorded to camera. Luckily he had is onboard mic to get most of it. He told me its no biggie. The way this problem came about was because he(not intentionally) I don't think turned the switch on the for the audio and it was not sending my feed. The producer was very upset but later calmed down when she realized the audio was there. Lesson learned always BACKUP regardless if they ask for it or need it. Camera guys don't care about us(most anyways) and will do whatever that works for them. Nicole
  21. Good information to know. Is this price the same still at your shop? Thanks Nicole
