  1. I'm shooting on that camera right now and I'm sending a feed via a Sennheiser G2 wireless. I periodically listen in on the camera to make sure all is good. I have the transmitter set to -20db. I am also recording sound to my Sound Devices 788T. Upon reviewing dailies today the sound seemed to be fine. Production said they would be using that sound but I did advise them they are paying for one camera hop and they will be getting a mono mix and they will need to use the 788T for ISO's and what not. But anyways good luck with the shoot. Nicole
  2. When I work on Drop Dead Divas the mixer I work with uses one of these for me to hear the sound. They actually were working better and cleaner than the Comteks he had. Nicole
  3. Get another 416 or get it fixed. The NTG-3 let me down when I got it. I was getting RF interference noise and it sounded really thin. Now that I have been using the 416 on location and for post sound(foley/sfx). I freaking love it. Good luck. Nicole
  4. I generally wear gloves while working on set and try to keep wipes and other hand cleaning supplies as well. Sorry that happened. Hope you feel better. Nicole
  5. I'm saving my money up. Just don't have $1,000 right now. Nicole
  6. Then buy 30. I wonder if your married man? Maybe your wife should give you more attention so you can stop spending so much time on here talking that NONSENSE dude. I hope one day I meet you in person. Nicole
  7. Better that than having the boom on the camera. Wonder how that project came out sound wise. Nicole
  8. Give them a call. I did and the guy there is very nice and explains everything. It would be easier because they made the cart so they know it inside out. The number and extension is on their website. Nicole
  9. This is what I have made. It works pretty good though. Its a Stanley Tool Box. Just a few pics. It fits perfectly in my trunk or back seat. Cost me only 20 bucks and I customized it. Nicole
  10. Thanks guys. I got it working. I love this 788T. I enter all types of notes, label files, etc using a usb keyboard. It works wonders. I want the editor to have less work to do. Since I'm doing a ton of 5D/7D stuff it makes my clients happy to get all that information. Nicole
  11. Have you checked out the Junior Sound Cart? Go to the link below. I'm about to end up ordering that cart. It would work great for your needs and its less than 400 bucks. http://www.filmtools.com/fivejusoandv.html Nicole
  12. Thanks for the input guys. I do use a usb keyboard with my recorder so it allows me to move really fast verses using the strolling wheel. I will try at it again. Just got home and settled in. Will try your suggestions tomorrow. I ended up with the following just as an update New Sound Kit Sound Devices 788T Sound Devices 442 TS-C Time Code Slate 4 Lectrosonic 401/411 Sennheiser 416 Battery Distribution System etc... I am so happy my prayers where answered. My brother bought me everything. He told me anything else I want/need I have to buy he is giving me the tools so that I may be successful in what I do. Nicole
  13. Hey guys. been busy working and I finally got a nice sound kit. I have the Sound Devices 788T now and I can't quiet figure out how to fix this problem I'm having. I am trying to label the track names and for some reason Channel 3 and Channel 4 become the same name. It will not allow me to individually label those files. Can someone help me out. Could not figure it out. Example: I type Collector 1 for Track 3 and it makes Track 4 say Collector 1 as well. In the routing screen I don't have those tracks grouped. Thanks Nicole
  14. Ok so I'm looking at almost $1000 for the cart. Thanks. Nicole

  18. Looks cool. I definitely would like to hear others view on this if they have used it. Wonder if it will help out with clothing noise. The pictures aren't that great to see but I'll give Professional Sound Service a call and see what they say. Nicole
  19. I'm here Atlanta. Its so much money to be made. We have a great tax incentive so that's why a lot of stuff gets filmed here. I'm not in the union yet but even still I stay pretty busy. Nicole
