  1. Remember folks, when cars came out, people threw rocks at them and called them devil horses.
  2. First time I did this was with U87’s, and Technomad speakers. I got nicknamed “Noriega”. The technomad speakers were the same model used for playing music 24/7 until he surrendered in Panama. I remember when the owner of the mics simply replied, hang them from the ceiling. My mind was blown, I got a wonderful learning opportunity on that gig. I also had to google what monofilament was.
  3. Suspend monofilament lines from the ceiling with tiny robust i-hooks. Simply adjust your microphones to proper height. Use tan/white 300’ pair of Xlr and it will all but disappear. Getting to the ceiling will be tricky. IMHO when I see this rig in the field I don’t see the mics right away, then they stand out to me and I notice them, but not right away. Figure out your best way to suspend the mic, cage, xlr, etc at your own pace in the comfort of home. See if maintenance/utility has one of these laying around in the back parking lot somewhere.

Same as an R1a. Only plastic. And not made by Lectro.
  5. Hire a sound engineer to design your system 🤷‍♂️. As opposed to asking a mechanic how to get the job done without him? You’re going to need a dedicated engineer to operate the audio package as well. It’s not something someone can pull off after reading the manual. I’d liken it to trying to buy an auto garage without a mechanic. I have 5 years mocap audio experience. Both mobile and studio. If you need a recommendation I will gladly refer you to my department lead.
  6. Send me a Cos-11. JK, I feel you. I’ll make a video. It’s tough, I’m gonna have to rent a studio and hire a camera op and a lighting guy. Jk again.
  7. Ok, just to be clear. This method works but is the wrong wrong wrong way to do it. A thermal stripper is preferred but a straight razor and rubber eraser block will work without compromising the insulation. You’re doing other things like compromising the insulation and wicking solder past the recommended distance creating a un-flexing joint that will eventually bend and snap. 🫰 I get it. We’re not working in avionics or aerospace. Just sayin. I’ve had connection snap in between takes and you would have thought we had a dying surgery patient on the operating table.
  8. 10+ years experience, entry level position. Tentancle sync blue tooth app.
  9. Cable resilience. So the copper hairs do not bend into a crimp and break as easily. Also insulation, and spacing inside the cable jacket. I’ll make the video. I just have to hire an instagram social media managing firm to handle all my fans from my Facebook page…NOT. I only need some COS11 volunteers. I only own DPA. I started out playing with solder in 6th grade. Probably not the most healthy but I am pretty good with an iron these days.
  10. I’m just against strapping anything to my arms. It’s bad enough we have to hold our arms above our heads.
  11. Order these, Sweetwater 7506 replacement pads and you will get a call from Gabe at sweet water twice a year for life!
  12. I want to see our rates increase. Our jobs have inherent health risks. Long hours, stress, mental health. Don’t skimp on your quality of life. When I go to tiffanies, I can’t negotiate a lower price, same at the LV store. Same thing when I go to Target, the Tide costs what the Tide cost.
  13. Most hardware stores take drill batteries back. Not Home Depot though. I take my dead battery jar and empty it once a year. Np batteries go to an old drill right???
  14. Most cars have D rings in the cargo area floor, or a d-ring/point hidden by a plastic tab on the sidewall of the cargo interior. Small 1 inch strap will do perfect. Remember to keep the ratchet mechanism oiled with some silicone or oil of your choice. The ratchets tend to get a little rusty and then they seize, lock and are a pain. Best of luck! Everyone needs to know this information.
  15. Check out the series Silicon Valley, they discuss compression in a hilarious context.
  16. My CF reader on my 633 that I bought used is compromised. Sucks because I got it from someone on this forum without any notice of this obvious issue. It will need a trip back to the factory. I tried firmware, new cf cards and hard reset. It works fine with just an SD card, but after a little while, a CF card locks it up. It will work in short spurts but locks up sooner or later.
  17. Yes. My Sandisk cf died. Made my 633 go haywire. Replaced with Delkin Black.
  18. Contact cleaner zero residue the pins and connections. Use a small wood tooth pick to gently remove any oxidation. What does your RF finder show your wireless transmission levels at? When you click the TX on and off is the TX putting out a full level peak into the RFinder? Or is it only putting out a little bit.
