  1. I built a mute box for my Comtek feed with a blinking LED to indicate that the output was muted. Definitely saved a few hurt feelings.
  2. Interesting logic. Shall we address your role in Christian atrocities throughout history? Slavery & racism in America? Salem Witch Trials?
  3. Honestly...I get through most days without needing to change batteries. 90WH V-LOCK Nomad + 2 dual receivers NIMH AA 4 talent wires (2 batteries each) G2 hop tx G2 cam rx G2 IEM Betso sync boxes Slate The v-lock usually gets me though most days The talent transmitters might need a change near the end of the day (50mw Wisycom) Everything else breezes thorough a whole day.
  4. I use the K-Tek with a VersaFlex harness. I can't confirm if it works with any others.
  5. I fully endorse the K-Tek KSRB2. It's a good balance between versatility, accessibility and protection.
  6. Integrated wideband receivers with emulators for all of the typical wireless systems would be great! Maybe a royalty deal with the wireless companies for providing emulator support.
  7. 1/8 watt is what they supply with their ta5f kits. Definitely easier to fit in the connector.
  8. How much collar does the t shirt have? Can you get wardrobe to make a slit in the collar (in the back) and feed a mic around to the front?
  9. Set your recorder to 23.98 Set your sync box to 29.97 (confirm that your sync box can be cross-jammed, Tentacles can not, for example) Jam sync box and set it up on camera as normal. I have a client who still uses these cameras and this method works. Do some testing if possible. Jason.
  10. The Ikea batteries are great (so far) but you should get a better charger.
  11. You can also try DV Shop. They stock Eneloop Pro AAs for a good price.
  12. The auto-on & auto-jam features really make external powering a non-issue for me. As long as the battery is good, at the top of the day (let's say you forgot to put a fresh one in) the receivers will take a jam and stay in sync for as long as the receiver battery has juice. That being said, one less thing to do is always welcome on a busy shoot.
  13. I did a couple of seasons with a big bearded guy. Behind the beard, 1" below the collar of his t-shirt (hidden by the beard) worked perfectly everytime.
  14. Focus the Focus Dingus, ya dingus. 😂
  15. No quantity limit if under 100wh. 101-160wh, limited to 2 spares. Also, the rules say "with airline approval" So, obviously they can override the rules of they want to.
  16. I actually had a great experience with the stock Sennheiser mount that came with the 50. No unexpected handling noise issues at all.
  17. Call Lectro with the serial number. Or, if you're handy, it's probably labeled on one of circuit boards. Grab a screwdriver.
  18. I like the 7506 cable as well. It spends most of the time tucked into my bag, but I can release some coil when I need it.
  19. Lav on a speaker usually works well enough. If it's just a podium mic, I try to split it before their mixer, or plant a lav on the podium mic itself.
