  1. I've had surgery on both knees last 5 years due to degenerative joint disease. I find that Ice does a better job than meds most of the times. I also lost about 25lbs last couple of years and that really made a huge difference towards endurance and pain. When my knee gets swollen I use a ice pack called "Polar Care" from BREG and it works wonders. They also have a shoulder pad available and you can find the whole kit at eBay for a fraction of the price.
  2. I always have a bunch of AA (lithiums & alkalines) handy... and can send a PA for a few dozen of AA on a short notice anywhere in the world...
  3. you should probably say: "I'm going to miss HOW my gold 90 lines mW's used to perform....
  4. ziploc bags are helpful and considerable cheaper....
  5. I'm surprised that Charles Tomaras is not willing to comment on the subject....wonder why?!?!? Read 1032 times
  6. That sounds like framerate mismatch... (drop vs ndf)
  7. Yep... That makes sense...
  8. BTW The Honda Pilot can do just that... http://automobiles.honda.com/pilot/features.aspx?Feature=vcm So I hate the fact that my Venue "FIELD" (was this designed for field use?) can't...
  9. Hey Eric, The pilot was shot within 8 hours from where I live, so production covered lodging, perdiem & transportation for the 6 day of shooting. Also when the producer called to book me for the first season she mentioned that the locations were still TBD and that that wouldn't be an issue since they "loved" my work... Dunno what happened there, maybe the DP had a sound buddy? who knows. All I was told was "you can go ahead & start taking jobs"
  10. Sorry to hear that Paul... In my case the show did got picked up & the first two episodes wrapped shooting last week. Only problem, after producers put me on hold for a 3 week shoot, they decided to fly in a Sound Mixer from LA. I'm still shocked at the fact that they promised to hire me and then decided to dump me at the last minute.... Oh well.
  11. Looking good Jeff... Nice update. Congrats!
  12. Either my computer is too old or your site is too heavy. Waited for over a minute & nothing happened...
  13. Look @ Scott's blog... http://web.me.com/farroutpro/sound/home/home.html
  14. I like this one: http://www.radialeng.com/re-8ox.htm
  15. My duplex cable used to be wired mono, but I modified for stereo use. This way I can feed PL on one side & program to either or... I think some guys are using the Sennheiser EK 300 IEM G2 which also features an internal mixing monitor feature...
  16. I have attached different Lectro receivers (ucr100 & ucr211) to RED cameras on several occasions with no problem whatsoever... the camera owner is just paranoid.
  17. I had a similar issue in the past on my SD302 mixer... as it turned out the "phase Reverse" switch was accidentally turned "on" on channel one thus making ch 2 inoperative. It doesn't make sense to me but I later noticed that fact, switch it off and everything was back to normal... Same but different situation with my Wendt X5 when the HP monitor switch was accidentally on MS position as opposed to Stereo...
  18. BTW, where's Billy? Is Billy Sarokin a JWsound member?
  19. Hey Robert, its your work. No reason to be embarrassed. I wish I had at least some work to brag about lately....
  20. Do you really need the blimp? Or maybe you NEED a sanken cos-11x. Who knows otherwise save your money dude... credit IS credit
  21. I use three MY8AT cards on my Yamaha O2R which allows for 8 busses & 24 return from my Power Mac loaded with a RME 9652 interface. I'm not sure the DM2000 supports this cards, but as Jim mentioned you could use up to trhee MY16mLAN cards on the DM2000 for a whooping 48 tracks!
