  1. Sorry Crew. You should know I'm a bitter man... as in Sierra Nevada Bitter, maybe...
  2. And maybe reason why they are looking up waiting for the clouds to clear out... Waiting on Sun!
  3. Great/Sad depiction of what's to come...
  4. If I start dressing like that I might get the rate I deserve, right? spats and all, obviously...
  5. DANG! Courtney, I hope you're using some good'ol earplugs while riding that thing...
  6. You can always downgrade your firmware and see if that fixes the problem...
  7. I worked on a show with louder bikes than Harley's... Big Dog Motorcycles. The show: "American Thunder" on the "Speed Channel". The host was wearing a head-worn mic but I replaced the built in mic with a countryman B3 shielded with a remote audio microcat... Worked great as we were following on a Convertible Chevy Camaro ...
  8. I know Doug is right, I'm just frustrated at so called "producers" trying to get all for cheap, and then calling back to rub it in your face. That's just wrong. And sorry for highjacking your post David, I just couldn't help it.
  9. A LA based company called last week for a 5 day shoot in KC and didn't want to pay my full rate, since things are low I decided to offer a $100 discount in order to get some cash flowing. They called yesterday and told me they have came up with enough money to cover my full rate but decided to fly in a mixer from LA since that's the guy they always use! WTF!!! During hard times is better to get the money and suck it up.
  10. Yep, Exeltech: http://store.solar-electric.com/xp-125-12.html fanless up to 250watt...
  11. A camera guy I used to work with had his Rock n Roller for over 5 years (but never got the shelf), he loaded a pelican rifle case at the bottom with at least three C stands and a baby c-stand, on top of that four 1650 pelican cases loaded with an Arri light kit, KinoFlo Divas Kit, Sony Video monitor, dimmers & stingers, v-mount batteries & chargers, arri & avenger light stands, schatler tripod, duvatine & gels, sand bags,etc... It never let us down. Thats why I decided to get one for myself, thinking that it could make a nice follow cart in the future when I can afford a Chinhda cart... The shelf is made of plywood with steel beams bolted underneath. so I'd say it can hold well over 100 pounds, the problem is that the mounting holes on the handle bar might be too high for a twelve unit rack so you'd probably need to drill new holes. I use a six unit SKB rack, or just put my Sound bag on top depending on the gig...
  12. Sorry Scott, I missed the point... I Use a SKB rack as well. And your Filmtools cart is quite nice too. Alan, The problem with the noise canceling HP is that you DO want to hear what's out there, like AC's, fans, generators, etc... A sound mixer friend of mine tried them once and hated them. Theres a topic about that Noise Canceling HP's here
  13. I use a Rock&Roller. I load my sound rack on top and modified it to hold boom poles and antenna mast... Heres a low res pic of it:
  14. BTW... http://www.sweetwater.com/feature/not_available/oktava.php Yep! Who's next?
  15. I know... quite amusing don't you think?!?
  16. Finally! http://www.sweetwater.com/feature/not_available/behringer.php
  17. This is great news!!! I've thought my good'ol mBox was nothing but a paperweight! Thanks for the info guys.
  18. This is a first generation mBox. Wont work with newer PT versions. I was told... PS I'm running Mac OS 10.5.6, maybe thats why.
  19. I thought it was some kind of strange home made laptop but its the raptor's controller right? So I take it you are feeding stereo program to the raptors or does his cart features an audio distro box? I also have one of those old mBox's, what PT version are you running with that? mine(v.6.x) stop being compatible with MacOs... Cheers!
  20. I think Trew is in Nashville... I was in Memphis & Nashville for the ITV special "Young Elvis in Colour"... I loved both. Have a great time Robert!!!
  21. Apparently that's the whole point for mixing/monitoring with DolbyLM100
