  1. I'm curious to see what kind of clip options there will be for this. It is kind of interesting that the isn't anything coming from the factory.
  2. Edit, are there any plastic loops on the bottom for a harness clip or just the 2 on top?
  3. I'm curious if anyone that has tested these can attribute to the lower noise floor and how noticeable it is? I would be interested in one for quiet speakers with interview setups.
  4. Interesting. I did snip on the XLR end, not sure if that would make any difference though.
  5. Try lifting the ground on the audio cables out from the QRX. I had this with a C300 and the same powering setup, I snipped the ground on the XLRs and buzz was gone, audio was good!
  6. I haven't seen anything for Nomad that interests me unless I missed a new release.
  7. Agreed. I think a lot of the weight of the Ktek bag has to do with the anti-RF material they use in some of the siding. A stripped down lightweight version would be welcomed that is just a skeleton as I'm not really sure how much good the extra material does, if any. I actually want to look into if I can open up some of the bag and take out some of the material to cut down on weight.
  8. I haven't weighed it yet, but it is basically just the extra weight of the bag. The Ktek isn't the lightest bag, but in combination with the Stingray Harness, the support off the shoulders is the biggest things for me. I could lighten is more by taking some of the supplies and doodads out, but I don't like not having them on me at all time. All digital for wireless cabling so that is minimal. FP8 doesn't weigh much of anything. So you basically know the weight of all the Zaxcom stuff and the Inspired batts, so just add the weight of a Ktek bag and you'd be very close.
  9. New 4 channel bag for current show. Working well for me.
  10. Agreed. That's what I have done too, but I was thinking more of a slot type module where you could slide in existing QRX200 receivers, and basically have male power connectors, and female TA5 connectors in each slot eliminating cabling. Along with a built in MicPlexor. You'd still need some cabling for the top SMAs just like the SL-6.
  11. Yeah. SRx needs to be true dual channel. Even if that means making it only blocks 20-23 or 23-26.
  12. I've tried to rally the idea of a Zaxcom version of the SL6 and it was shot down too. Not sure why. I agree, RX12 is too big and heavy for my needs as well and having QRX200's being mobile is way better than QRX212's as they can only be used one way.
  13. Interesting. I will check out that cable material. I'm curious as to how Pasternak would make a better cable than what I'm already doing. Unless I'm not doing something correctly, it seems like a pretty easy SMA connection, ground to shield and center to pin.
  14. Does anybody have any thoughts or recommendations on RF cable's for in the bag that would be better shielded than RG 174 but is the same diameter? I'm using RG 174 for cable runs in my bag between my MicPlexer and QRXs, but I think I'm getting a little bit of RF into the cables between my MicPlexer and antennas. I can get my QRXs clean if I put dipoles up on my harness, but I would rather have my antenna set up on my bag wether it is simple whips on the outside or dipoles on the outside, as it makes the bag more mobile. Thanks all!
  15. I've been working with the Weapon the last couple of days. I made a dual XLR to stereo 1/8" for the now single audio 1/8" input. At least on this Weapon, channel 1 and 2 bleed into each other so no chance of sending 2 discreet channels. It also seems prone to some grounding noise issues. But I imagine the module with the XLR inputs doesn't have this problem.
  16. Nice Kelsey, will be a good program to have.

    K tek Harness

Love it. Only gripe is that it is a bit more cumbersome to attach and detach since it has 6 points of connection.
  18. The remote audio batteries display all the information on the audioroot BDS system. You don't need to wait for any firmware to come out, they are already compatible.
  19. It seems like some users have had issues with Zaxcom stuff and the batteries tripping, but then other people like José don't have issues. It would be interesting to see if this is a difference in setup or if it is a difference in gear specifics.
  20. Yes, I'd love some specifics on all of this as to what causes this and how to avoid it.
  21. Sorry I wasn't more specific, I was referring to the Nomad functionality of individual sleep. But you are right it is a Nomad software feature.
  22. I'm hoping the auto frame rate detection and the individual Tx sleep is hidden in the new software.
