  1. I found these cheapest at ALLIED ELECTRONICS...
  2. were there any photos meant to be in your last post?
  3. I finally saw this film... Dear Jeff, I just want to tell you how amazing the film sounds.... And as one can easily see, it was not an easy-peasy film at all in terms of the scenes and logistics involved... (not to say ANY film is ALL easy for us, of course) How can you retire!!! -vin
  4. Mike, how do you charge the battery? What is the capacity you are using? 10Ah?
  5. Second that. the WRC is the place where one needs representation in the first place - in the first place setup where they purportedly decide on spectrum (re-)allocation...
  6. One can always record unprocessed tracks - it's the world of multitrack digital recorders...
  7. Sponge (wet) is not recommended by experts. because of the thermal shock caused. brass wool is the recommended method for cleaning tips. and - AVOID tip tinners... also when you finish, clean the tip and 'tin' it with solder before you turn the thing off. this way the tip is always covered and will not oxidise... After years of using cheap solder station(s), i finally invested in the industry standard - METCAL. What a difference! It is simply incredible... Of course, expensive, but... I have the pre-heater, hot air station and the soldering station with two handpieces (soldering iron and tweezers) now... -vin
  8. time to ask them again! and MPR50
  9. For the amount of current consumption of a DNS 2, one does not really need to use a very thick cable...
  10. Robert, after many years of using G3 systems for foldback, i switched to Wisycom IEM. I have the dual 250mW Tx and 4 x Wisycom bodypacks which are diversity receivers which are for my boom ops and utility most of the time. I also have a number of G3 Rx for the rest of the crowd. This system works perfectly. Range is incredible even at 100 mW. For antennas I use the Wisycom ground planes... For portable, I use a G3 Tx. Wisycom Rx are definitely much better sounding than anything else, even when driven by a G3 Tx. The range is incredible even with the G3 Tx. If you really want a high quality Rx reception, this is the way to go. my 2 cents... -vin
  11. Would advise to check the voltage on the plug on tx compared to the 48V Ph from the mixer... Apart from this, cant think of anythying else off-hand....
  12. HA! That completely depends on HOW the LtRt was created. I will only say this much now on this thread to avoid creating any more confusion, and more importantly a sudden void in the middle of all that is going on here. the Center -- in an LR space is a GHOST center. created from equal amplitude, zero phase signals going to both L and R speakers.
  13. Constantin, my friend, hope you are well! Feels like AGES since we met, but it is just about a year or so. I have no idea since i have still not used these connectors. I just feel that you should go through the LEMO docs and it will give you a much better idea. Yet, if you want me to - i will ask my local Indian LEMO rep, who is a SUPERB person for more info on this. At some point of time i too will need this information. warmest regards -vin
  14. visited their factory 2015 September...
  15. of course, in which case, the 144 mA will do fine...
  16. 8 positions at 45 degrees each...
  17. Microdots are manually put on connectors at the DPA factory. It is an elaborate procedure. Albeit that the connectors are thoroughly tested, they may break in the field.
