  1. Just received the ifs version. It’s exactly the same
  2. Was is 32 bit only recording? How many channels?
  3. No, still have the second unit with the same issues. The ifs version is not available anymore.
  4. Ouch, I hope there will be a solution soon. Was it with a card that passed the test? Which recording settings?
  5. Keep us updated! I am ordering a different Version on Amazon. They have an IFS and a GE version. Theoretically they should be identical but hopefully they are a different production date..
  6. For anyone who is interested: The serial number of the first device is: c4601675x - the second one is c4601858x. (I put an x for the last digit)
  7. Do you have links to those other reports?
  8. A new Kingston Canvas go 64gb sdg just arrived from the US, because its in the list.. failed. I give up - until now all SDXC cards failed - at least nine now. The only one working is SDHC. It must definitely be the recorder..
  9. I mostly use an NP-F750 and it lasts all day. Thats a huge advantage over the mixpre 10 II - which eats up batteries. So no way for me to go back just because I want to keep weight and size small. Charging via USB for the internal works on most devices, its the same for most sony cameras for example.
  10. They dont know how long it takes.. Here are the details about the new components. Battery runtime has gone down in newer models as well. https://zoomcorp.com/en/us/news/spec_changes/
  11. Oh no. I cannot roll back because I received a replacement unit. It has some other chips due to shortages in production and older fw versions are not compatible anymore..
  12. Wow could you send the firmware? Do you know if it’s possible to roll back?
  13. Zoom confirmed the issue - the recorders are not reliable at the moment. But there is no solution right now.
  14. I have a massive problem with audio jumps on the zoom f6. Below is a video example from another user. Audio jumps at some point and gets out of sync, you can clearly hear it in the audio file, so its not a syncing issue. I testeed 5 different high quality cards and orderend two new ones to be sure its not a card problem. As it happend the first time in dual record mode (32 plus 24 bit), Zoom claimed it should only happen in this mode, but right now it happend in 24 bit mode as well. All "full card tests" on this recorder and its replacement failed in the recorder with seven good cards (for example sandisk extreme pro) that work well in cameras and in a SD mixpre 10 II. So I guess its an issue with some new chips in newer models as I think they changed something internally due to corona shortages. Other users reported problems as well, so dont rely on this recorder! Does anybody know if its possible to get an older firmware version and to restore it? Maybe thats the cause..
  15. Zoom confirmed that audio jumps can happen in dual recording mode and that they are working on it.
  16. Glad I sent my deluxe kit back until all problems are fixed. But now I have similar problems with a zoom recorder. Seems to me that cheap devices are so much more prone to reliability issues..
  17. I guess I need to get a mixpre again. I think there is a reason for the higher price: reliability.
  18. Thanks, I am already in contact with them. "This is not something we have had previously reported, but are currently investigating this report and the reports seen in the Facebook link."
  19. By the way, all my memory cards are in the approved list of the f6. So there must be an issue with the card reader.
  20. Thanks a lot! I dont get this problem from the start on. Mostly its happening after an hour of recording or so... I am constantly recording in the recorder and sync to video later. So the files are quite long until a new one is automatically created and everything is out of sync.
  21. Thanks Joe, that helps! So the Sandisks all pass the full test in the f6? That means that the recorder has a problem. I will get a replacement unit today and try out all my cards. By the way: Does it matter, which recording format you select before starting the test? So if you select one channel 24 bit recording does it test with a different bandwidth then eight channel dual 32 and 24 bit?
  22. Whats good then? I thought Sandisk, and you can even buy my cards with the zoom f6 in a bundle, so I guess they should be fine. I guess the recorder is a faulty unit.
  23. Unfortunately Rode has only a pad setting thats -4db for the internal and - according to some user experience -2 db for the external mic. You can set the output level of the receiver for sure, but that doesnt help. I think I will stay with my sony uwp-d wireless lavs so far, as those rodes arent ideal when it gets loud.
  24. Ok, the new lexar has failed immediately as well. I guess its a problem of the recorder..
