Hey Eran, I was in Malawi for 4 years (2013 to 2017) and I was using block 26 without issues, though it was busy at times. There is no hard and fast rules in Malawi, so what might be free in the morning might not be in the afternoon. I always scanned and made sure it was good - just in case. Most of the cell networks (Airtel and TNM ) run in the 800 and above range which won't touch you. Mind you that was almost 3 years ago. I will try and find out more for you from my friends there.
